Dr. Bruce Neal Allsop, MD

I went to Dr. Allsop when he first graduated from college, then for about ten years. I saw him evolve and change into a physician I no longer liked. He became extremely judgmental, critical, and 'holier than thou' with me and his staff. The entire establishment of Trinity has changed and become too commercialized. It's very sad.

More interested in what can be prescribed. Does not give alternatives for treatment. If you disagree he gets angry. If you question him he gets angry. More interested in himself. Made me feel like a low life and that my opinion was nothing. Will not go back to him on any of the doctors at Trinity if they are anything like him. He is very judgmental and looks down his nose at patients. He came off a very arrogant. Prescribed me an unsafe dosage of medication for a female!!!!This is just my personal opinion and not meant to anger any one. It is the opinion I got from him and his office staff is worse...they can not even get a message to him straight and as a result I was falsely accused of something I never did. When I was very ill and they had to call me back I was so sick I could not come to the phone so I called back in 5 minutes and was told the nurse I needed to speak to had gone...knowing I was going to call right back. No one cares at all in that office. I don't want my hand… held...just courtesy and help when needed, but I didn't get if from any one, not even the doctor. My health situation was made worse not sure if it was because of the doctor or the office help not being able to give a correct message but I wont be goingback.

He listens and is open minded. Yes, you may have to wait a little longer for him to get to you but it's only because he takes the necessary time with you. I'll wait for a doctor that is willing to spend time with me. He is also very knowledgeable. He is by far my favorite doc of all the primary care physicians I have seen.

Although he's plenty nice and all that, Trinity Medical is just another big money making machine. The office staff is very impersonal, too.I take Imitrex for bad headaches and for this last one, I called the Pharmacy for a refill, they called the DR for the prescription and the DR refused to refill it until I come in for a 'yearly checkup.' I don't mind a yearly checkup, but I'm in bad pain NOW - why not refill my prescription and let me schedule an appointment to come in?Here is what I wrote on my second attempt to get my medication:PLEASE call in this prescription as soon as possible. I know that you said I have to have an appointment with you before you will, but I must protest.1 - If you wanted me in for an appointment before refilling this prescription, you should have notified me somehow BEFORE I needed a refill. It is cruel and unnecessary for you to stand in the way of me getting my medication.2 - Doctors are supposed to HELP their patients, not make them suffer until they… come in for a pointless check up. I've been taking this Imitrex for a YEAR; one more refill will not make a medical difference.3 - What do you propose to do during this DR appointment that will affect whether or not I will continue taking this medication?I must conclude that this policy of requiring an office visit before refilling my prescription is actually designed to get more money from me and/or my insurance company. If you had made this policy with the best interests of the patient, then you would have allowed this refill and THEN contacted me to SUGGEST a visit. And you would not withhold my prescription as some form of ransom while I suffer.I expect you to call this prescription refill in to Kroger immediately, and then contact me so I can go get it. I will be laying here on the couch in pointless agony until then.

Dr. Allsop has been my family practitioner for 10 years and he is the most caring doctor I have ever had. He always takes the time necessary to address all my issues and takes a real interest in my children's development. I recommend him and his staff without hesitation!
