Dr. Bruce Samuel Bauer, MD

This doctor may have people refer to him for surgeries that are cosmetic. Be warng that he cause damage on the long run. He has very little merit on surgeries that shouldn't be performed at all. It's probably too late for me to mention this, given that he performed multiple surgeries since I was 7 years old. His surgeries cost me my confidence and ability to do certain things.

Amazing doctor and staff

Dr Bauer and his staffs are very awesome. He is highly experienced in his field. My son has giant congenital nevus and we have 2 rounds of surgery with him. After the first round was done, people who saw my son's new skin is fascinated. They couldnt tell it was nevus before. The skin looks like normal skin and the stitches fade in 6 months. Before we went to dr Bauer, we did consult with some surgeons. The others told us our son would need about 3 rounds and with dr Bauer, he took the risk and managed to remove the nevus in just 2 rounds. He is a risk taker but really capable. We can trust him. Also, his nurses Susan Hoadley and Miriam Tournell are great. We love them too!

World class doctor. My son was born with a giant congenital nevus over 25% of his body. We had several rounds of tissue expansion and excisions before making the trip from the Southeastern US up to see Dr Bauer. He has now done several surgeries on my son and I can say he is the only surgeon I would trust him with. Dr Bauer is highly skilled and has succeeded with removing the nevus in ways other doctors have failed. His bedside manner is also outstanding - no ego, very low key - results focused. He has gone above and beyond with answering email and doing a lot of the legwork remotely. Highly, highly recommended.

Dr. Bauer did my daughter's cleft lip repair nearly 23 years ago when our daughter as just 2-1/2 months old. He was excellent, compassionate and really relieved me and my husband's emotions. When we tell people our daughter was born with a cleft lip, they are shocked because you don't really see a scar. He and his staff were wonderful to us and with the care of our daughter!

Dr. Bauer is in the process of repairing a botch job from a highly regarded surgeon at Lurie on my 7 yr old daughter. This is her 5 surgery over the past 4 years. The only way to fix the mess on the back of her thigh is through skin expansion. She just had the two expanders inserted last week and all is well so far. So far Dr. Bauer and his staff are excellent. I would say always get a second opinion on any type of recommended surgical procedure.

Made me beautiful

I could never fully express just how impressed my wife and I are with Dr. Bauer and his staff. Dr. Bauer is an absolute masterful surgeon and what he was able to do with our infant son was nothing short of miraculous! We were most impressed with how Dr. Bauer took time to answer our questions and concerns. We live over 2,000 miles away from his office and were worried how this would affect pre and post operation issues, but Dr. Bauer and his staff took care of everything and answered all of our emails within a day! I could not be more happy with our experience with Dr.Bauer and his staff.

Dr Bauer did my sons ear deformity surgery and now you'd never know he had anything done. His ears look even and completely normal. He's an excellent DR with excellent skills and I would recommend him to anyone I know seeking services he has to offer.

Dr. Bauer did surgery on my daughter 17 years ago. He inserted an abdominal sack and harvested the skin to replace the removed skin on her neck and upper torso. Today she had a dermatology appt. at Jefferson Hospital in Phila. and the docs were amazed at what a fabulous job Dr. Bauer had done. My daughter had the major surgery and an additional 5 outpatient procedures to improve the looks of things. She was a college student at the time at Northwestern and didn't take any time off from school or activities. Dr. Bauer always had time to answer our questions. I highly recommend him.
