HORRIBLE DOCTOR!!! SO unprofessional I have never met someone with such a horrible ego and disrespect for his patients AND his colleagues. This man screamed at the top of his lungs to multiple staff members trying to help take care of patients. Your doctorate does not give you a pass to be mean to others.

I record doctor interctions for the ssolle purpose to eep doctor's instructions clear reagrding my medical conditions. When Covner seen I ws recording our interction regrading discharge instructions, he "blew a gsket"! The then THREATENED me by saying (paraphrasing) "I am your discharge doctor nd I cn chnge annything I want iff you don't stop recording!" He also addded "you never mess with a physicin!" Form CA board complaint being filed. He is not God, but tries to act like one....pathetic!

Dr. Covner was instrumental in changing/saving my life. He was harsh when required, caring when needed. I am where I am today because of the interest he took in treating me.

I've been seeing Dr. Covner for over 15 yrs. and I'm very pleased that I've him as my primary doctor. Yes, you don't see him on your appointment time, but that is 'cause he listens to you and spent his time explaining what your problems. He does not rush you, not like some doctors (20 mins. and out the door) Yes, his bedside manners is not that great, but he is such a caring and comforting doctor--and that's all it matters to me.

I waited an hour for this doctor and I only spent a few minutes with him. He greeted me un professonly and i was not Satisfied with the visit. He did not explain a thing to me he just wrote a prescription and left the nurse to answear questions he should have answered. The nurse said that this was common because of his dis organization. She had to find the doc to answer my questions making me wait another 30 min. She then came back to tell me what he said. Overall I would say this man should retire if he doesn't like being a doc.
