Dr. Bruce Haughey, MD

If your looking for a Dr. with compassionate bedside mannerisms, who listens intently to your concerns and symptoms, who is NOT short, rushed, condescending, arrogant, misogynistic; and most importantly takes preventive measures and practices preventive care.... DO NOT GO TO SEE DR. HAUGHEY. If you have an issue/diagnosis, he will want you to wait until it causes more problems or gets worse before he takes action. He also, does not like to be questioned regarding information you found in your own research of your condition and treatment; or about his knowledge, expertise, or history of performed surgeries. His PA is who you will have more indepth conversations with, who will listen in detail to what your concerns and symptoms are, and show you some type of compassion or concern. Do yourself or loved one a favor and bypass this Dr.

Dr. Haughey, removed my thyroid gland, they found a cancerous nodule. He did a masterful job in explaining what he found and the best course of action to remove said nodule, etc. Before the surgery, he once again explained the procedure and process as well as the recovery that would ensue after surgery. To say that I was impressed with him, his bedside manner and the end result is an understatement. I wholeheartedly recommend him without reservation if God forbid the need arises.

I don’t really know where to start. I am so impressed with this Dr.’s group. My mother was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. We were given some not so good news from her initial Dr. They recommended having Dr. Haughey take a look at her case and have a full exam. We called and they got us in right away. We were so anxious going in because of what were told. I had never seen my mother so worried, understandably so. The wait was minimal and the Dr. was in to see us promptly. Dr. Haughey walked in and there was an immediate sense of calm. He was so caring and listened to all of our concerns. He examined my mom and came up with a solution that was completely different from what our original Dr. had given. His confidence and method of explanation made us decide to go with his suggestions. We are so glad we did. Dr. Haughey is amazing and it extends to his staff as well. Our interactions with Vanessa, his assistant, were absolutely wonderful. She was so pleasant and… explained everything she was going to do prior to doing it. She also had a level of confidence I had previously not experienced. Celia, the SLP was so friendly and also very professional. The front office staff is friendly and all of the Dr.’s and assistants were phenomenal. I can recommend Dr. Haughey and his team with absolute confidence! They are the reason that my mother is CANCER FREE!!!! Thank you so much Dr. Haughey. Your kindness and amazing ability have given me my mother back and given my mother her life back. We will always be so appreciative for everything you did for us.

We give Dr. Haughey and his team 5 stars. The care from beginning to end has been amazing. Our family will be forever grateful of his care. His PA Vanessa was very nice and knowledgeable. We will recommend Dr. Haughey to everyone that needs this specialty. He’s a Godly man!????

Brought a crowd of students into the consultation room without asking or telling me. Abruptly told me I had a good possibility of having cancer and left soon after with no plan to meet for follow up questions. Refused to allow me to stay in hospital for even one day following thyroidectomy despite my living an hour away and having a cronic pain condition. Expected me to find another doctor for pain control. Would not be involved before or after surgery. His patient advocate was consistently belligerent. I did not have the surgery and the nodule is shrinking a lot. Did not need the surgery yet I believe they cared little if at all for my well being and just wanted to profit from my misery. Ruined 2 months of my life. Be very careful trusting this guy.

Dr Haughey saved my life. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is not only knowledgeable, but he is also compassionate and caring. He listens and helps with concerns and questions. All excellent traits for a physician to have.........yet ones sorely lacking in some. Happily, they all come together in Dr Haughey. I will be ever grateful for his care and expertise.

My wife had a recurrence with horrific pain and his office just blew me off saying it was " good" news! Her nerves were growing back!! I just buried her.

Dr. Haughey diagnosed my husband with tongue cancer 5 years ago. He performed the long surgery removing my husbands tongue and making a flap from a back muscle. My husband had no chemo, no radiation and is still alive and well today. We will always be so grateful and thankful for a surgeon with Dr. Haughey's knowledge and ability.
