Dr. Bruce Andrew Havens

Bruce A. Havens, DDS, PhD
Dr. Havens graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1999. He went on to earn his Certificate in Orthodontics and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Havens has shared his vast knowledge of orthodontics by lecturing across the United States and by serving on the faculty at the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Orthodontics from 2004-2008. As a published author, he has written multiple articles that have been featured in basic science and orthodontic literature.
To stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Havens maintains active memberships with several prestigious professional organizations: the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Fresno-Madera Dental Society and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Havens gives back to his local community by …volunteering his time and orthodontic services to the Children’s Hospital Central California Craniofacial Anomalies Clinic.
Dr. Havens grew up in Porterville and is happy to have returned to the area where his extended family still lives. Outside the office, Dr. Havens enjoys running, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. His wife, Julie, is a high school French teacher at Clovis North Educational Center. They have two wonderful children, Liz and Alex.
