Received his Bachelor Degree in Dentistry from the University of Illinois. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois. His internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery were completed at the Brooklyn- Cumberland Medical Center and Brooklyn’s Veteran’s Administration Hospital. Following his residency, he achieved the rank of Major, and was Staff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the army. He has served as Clinical Instructor and Clinical Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago. Dr. Hochstadter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is also a member of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is the former …chairman of the Section of Dentistry at Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. Hochstadter is certified by the American Heart Association as an instructor and in basic life support. He is accredited in The Advanced Cardiac Life Support as well as by the American College of Surgeons in Advanced Trauma Life Support.
