Today was my first visit with Dr. Johnson for an injection in my back. My anxiety was very high, being I hate needles. But from the time he walked into the exam room, he was caring and understanding. And as he was doing the injection, he kept me in conversation and before I knew it, he was done. So, I'm very satisfied with him and his staff.

I was referred to this Doctor by my PCP for pain management as I have Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia, both of which are severe. Because I’m currently on Medicaid and it’s not accepted by pain management clinics in my hometown I had to travel 1 and 1/2 hours to see Dr. Johnson. He clearly had made a judgment call on me before he ever entered the exam room. He was very condescending, sarcastic in a “polite” sort of way (kept calling me ma’am as he was talking down to me) and treated me like I was beneath him. He seemed to have no concerns of helping me. He talked over me the 7 minutes he was actually with me and never allowed me to explain WHY I was there or the problems I’m having. So let me say that if you are on anything other than private insurance and if another Dr. has ever written you pain meds you will probably be treated as someone “who is now without pain meds and doesn’t know what to do!” And yes, he actually said that to me!

I was referred to this Physician by my PCP for pain management as I have Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia both very severely. And because pain Drs in this area are very limited that take my current insurance. Dr. Johnson was condescending, sarcastic in a “polite” sort of way and VERY judgmental! He clearly loves to hear himself speak because he talked over me the entire 7 minutes he was with me and wouldn’t allow me to say anything about WHY I was there to see him! He obviously had made a judgement call on me before he ever entered the exam room. If you are on anything other than a private insurance or have been given pain meds in the past he will NOT have concern for you. I will NOT be returning to that practice.
