He diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis and had staff do bladder instillations. After the first bladder instillation, I explained to him that my body smelled like dead rotting flesh. He didn’t document this on paperwork. He continued to recommend I do them until I had severe reactions: abdomen swelled to twice its size and severe burning in lower to mid back and abdomen. His office wouldn’t see me after this occurred when I asked to come in so they could evaluate what happened. No recommendations were provided except referral to urologist for cistoscopy which Ineas tons was normal. I finally went out of network and have stage IV endometriosis with possible bowel and diaphragmatic infiltration. Complete hysterectomy has been recommended with uterine biopsy. Dr. Kahn doesn’t listen to his patients nor does he document the severe reactions explained to him.

I felt respected and heard throughout my entire treatment. That alone sets this practice apart.

Dr. Kahn’s approach is very patient-focused. He explained my condition in detail and made sure I understood all available treatment options. I appreciated that he didn’t rush into surgery and first explored less invasive solutions.

Do not go to this doctor! I went to Dr. Kahn because I had a burning sensation with urinating, but no urinary tract infection, and was looking for help to determine the cause and find a solution. Dr. Kahn's nurse gently tried to put a catheter in me to perform a test for interstitial cystitis, but she was unable to insert the catheter because she said there was a curve in my urethra that made it difficult to insert. She called the doctor for assistance and he entered the room without talking to me and he forcefully jammed the catheter in to my body, causing me to yell out from the pain. He had no bedside manner. After this procedure, he performed a manual gynecological exam, and he was very rough when examining me. After the exam he had me come to his office. He said that he would like for me to be part of a study for interstitial cystitis, in which I would either be given a medicine for interstitial cystitis or a placebo pill (I would not know which I would be given) to see if this… would help me. I told the doctor that I wasn't interested in being part of the study and asked him to refer me to a urologist for an additional opinion. He then began bullying me. He had a large diameter pen on his desk that was made with a clear plastic encasing, in which you could see the smaller ink tube running down the inside. He picked up the pen, held it up, and chided me saying, "You see this pen? You see the small tube in the center? That's the size of the tube that I put in you today as a catheter that made you yell. If you go to a urologist, they are going to stick something the size of this entire pen in you," and he slammed the pen down on the table to intimidate me. He had no regard for me, my body, or my feelings. It seemed that his sole determination was to convince me to be part of a interstitial cystitis study for his own self interest. I asked him then to please refer me to a urologist, which after trying to convince me otherwise, he reluctantly did. I went to visit the urologist a short time after, and the urologist told me that he would not examine me because Dr. Kahn had already informed him that I had interstitial cystitis and did not need to be seen. Thankfully, I was able to figure out on my own that the burning that I was having was due to eating citrus daily and not drinking nearly enough water. I was able to fix this on my own, but my experience with Dr. Kahn has stuck with me for years. I felt violated both physically and emotionally by Dr. Kahn and I do not think that he is fit to examine women in this line of work.

I had surgery with Dr. Kahn 4 weeks ago. He explained everything, listened to my questions & concerns. Surgery went very well and I am very pleased with the outcome. Dr. Kahn is excellent at what he does and his office staff is wonderful also.

Wonderful physician/practice! I flew back to the USA to see my PCP for an acute onset of an issue. After a complete hysterectomy in 2004 because of endometrial & breast cancer, I didn't know what could possibly be causing these symptoms. My PCP immediately recommended Dr. Kahn's practice, and they saw me the next day. I didn't think my problem would be OB/GYN however Dr. Kahn is the BEST physician. He diagnosed the problem immediately and after two visits, I'm well on my way to recovery. What is amazing is his care, manner, he explained everything, he asked questions and I was so comfortable. I know selecting an OB/GYN is also a difficult decision. When my kids were born (late 80's), we didn't have a chance to select OB physicians at the military bases. I can only say if any women have an opportunity to select a OB/GYN, please consider Dr. Kahn! I cannot speak more highly of him, the care I received, the ability to work me into their schedule immediately. It is amazing when you can… feel better immediately and to have a physician who has his experience and care! Amazing practice! I get to fly back now! I have no pain and all possible thanks to Dr. Kahn and his team!

I had a major surgery and was recovering almost instantly. I never used the pain medication only tylenol and motrin for first two days. Was up and walking feeling good hours after surgery. his application of enhanced recovery made a huge difference. Amazing talented surgeon. Can not say enough... I interviewed 8 doctors and he was the right choice. I am forever grateful.

I had pain in my lower left abdomen that doctors had been giving me pain killers for almost 2 years. Dr. Bruce Kahn diagnosed the cause and treated me in one visit. He put in time to understand the history of this pain and got right down to diagnosing and treating it. He was excellent.

I highly recommend Dr. Kahn! I had been suffering from pelvic pain for months and seen at least half a dozen physicians. Most of them told me nothing was wrong and it must be a permanent neural pain pathway that had formed due to a previous surgery. Dr. Kahn was able to find the source of my pain, developed an appropriate treatment plan and improve my quality of life significantly!
