Dr. Bruce Allen Kauk, MD

My step mother had an extremely painful and terminal illness. Would see the dr on a regular basis and was prescribed pain medication that helped tremendously but when it came time for refills they were RARELY IF EVER on time causing my mother alot of UNNECESSARY undue pain due to the fact her medications were of the kind that would cause withdrawal if they were to be ceased being taken abruptly/at once. Several times her medications were not available up to 4 days after they were due which caused extreme discomfort and unnecessary pain. On many occasions the pharmacist even confirmed the medicines were due for refill and his office still had not ordered them. Getting through to the individual that handled refills was also a fiasco with my step mother sometimes being hung up on or flat out lied to alot of times being told the dr has until 6pm to call it in yet the office closes at 430 so if after 6 they were not available would have no choice but to wait until the next day and if it… were on a friday that would mean another two days if not three with her in unnecessary pain. She has since passed away but I know alot of the discomfort and pain she felt in her final months would not have been an issue had her refills been called in/transmitted on the day they were due. She did NOT abuse her medications or take them in any other way than they were prescribed. A couple of them were "up to X per day AS NEEDED" sometimes she needed more sometimes she didnt. They dont take that into account perhaps but still the day they were due they were rarely available for her to pick up on that day. I had actually taken her to the office a couple times to have the staff promise her "they would be in by 6pm" and they werent (ergo a lie). Im sure she is not the only one that had this kind of an issue. At least now she is not in any pain at all...both from her illness and the undue from not having her medication. God bles

Dr Kauk is awesome and appreciated and his staff are very friendly. Dr Kauk demonstrates great passion and care for me as his patient. I am very grateful. thank you

I love this Dr and his staff! Dr Kauk is an amazing Dr who has only your best interests at heart. He listens to what you have to say and explains everything to you in terms you can understand. He is never condescending and respects what you have to say and is always willing to try a different medication if you have unpleasant side effects. I have lived in 7 states and Dr Kauk is my favorite Dr

Excellent staff, Dr Kauk, is by far, the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever been to.

A classic old fashioned family doctor. He has the experience to know what works as well as what he learned in medical school. Not much gets by him.

Caring doctor. Have been a patient of Dr. Kauk's for over 25 years. Drive 60 miles-oneway-for a visit. He listens to my concerns, explains why he eliminates meds, why he may prescribe others. In listening to my concerns, he has been very accurate in addressing my health concerns. I have MAJOR health issues. He has been there for me--has helped me get through serious problems. Main thing he listens to me before jumping to a diagnosis or ordering unnesessary test. I have recommended Dr. Kauk to others and they are patients of his. Gladly recommend him to others needing a great doctor. Also very good office staff.
