An excellent listener and very thorough doctor. Highly recommend.

Dr is curt, interruptions are constant.

I don't mind waiting now that I'm in remission -- when I was critical, I was top of the list. I view waiting as a sign that I'm healthy. I was sick for over a year and getting worse. Tons of exams, tests etc. Even had 1 doc tell my lymphoma unlikely, despite having multiple relatives with it. Yes, it was lymphoma and a rare combo of it. Dr. Kressel got my brother's slides sent from 5 years previously and in another state to help analyze my situation. Had a friend that needed help with managing her Hep C and he also helped her with an aggressive treatment that worked. I supplemented chemo with acupuncture, so I know he was comfortable with my bringing my own ideas to my own health. I loved that chemo could be done in the office and not in the hospital. Ditto for the bone marrow biopsies.

Lacks empathy and bedside manner is terrible. Has to be hounded to follow up with patient and barely gives any of his time to discuss current issues/progression of the diagnosis.Extremely dissatisfied with this service and entire office staff

My overall experience is terrific.He is thorough and caring doctor who's education and experience is absolutely worth waiting for. I find him more than willing to discuss options and concerns at any time. If he interrupts a session for an emergency, or runs a little late, patients should remember, that the next "important" call could be coming from them.

Is intolerant of questions or of patients who want to take charge of their own health. Doesn't believe in shared decision-making. Becomes enraged if a patient dares to disagree with him. Vindictive and judgmental. Easily becomes irritable. Does the minimum in the minimum time required. Uncaring, insulting, arrogant. Stay away.

Dr. Kressel is an old-style paternalistic doctor who expects patients to do as their told. He is not interested in informing patients of their options or sharing much information. He does not believe in shared decision making. He is unable to engage in a calm intelligent discussion of treatment options. He practices medicine according to a cookbook and expects that each patient will be OK with being treated like the last one, similar to an assembly line. His "bedside manner" leaves something to be desired.

Dr. Kressel is an excellent oncologist. I am forever indebted to him for providing me with information a previous oncologist had concealed. Dr. Kressel is a caring oncologist (which is somewhat rare) and he has the best interests of his patients in mind.
