Dr. Bruce D Kugler, PhD

My Husband and I had been seeing Mr. Kugler as a couple for over 2 years. He was agitated at the beginning of our last session when we walked in. He started with a topic of his concerns about his recently revised finance policy. And then he redefined his standard emergency absence policy of the past. Which was the standard 24 hr notification in advance. We had always willingly complied to his set standards of finance, payments, and attendance in the past. We tried to get a clearly defined picture of what the new those standards were. Because he had redefined those standers. He grew more and more agitated and hostile as the session wore on. Mr. Kugler then in a very disorganized manor moved on to, how he had somehow to a vastly misconstrued false assumption about my Husbands viewpoints on a religious subject. We did both try to explain that he had wildly misconstrued my Husbands beliefs and vantage points on the topic. Mr. Kugler then grew so hostile that he wasn't… even able to just hear my husbanded out. Or even consider my husbands communication with him. I asked my husband to leave with me before the session time had ended. Because I was VERY uncomfortable. The session had then digressed to my Husband telling Mr. Kugler was "WAY off with his assumptions. My Husband tried to communicate this over and over again. And my husband told Mr. Kugler he was very sorry that Mr. Kugler believed those false assumptions were true. And thanked yMr. Kugler for all of his work with us and his help." We walked out the door with Mr. Kugler shouting "OH NOW your going to leave!" Mr. Kugler came to the door and was still shouting while we made our way to our vehicles. My Husband said have a nice day over his shoulder to all the shouting. Me and my Husband got in our vehicles and left. I drove home crying. He was always punctual or canceled his sessions in the past in advance. He was personable and civil in the past. He had been knowledgeable and well spoken. Both my Husband and I were immensely fawned of Mr. Kugler. And my Husband and I have certainly both been of great benefit due to all of our work with Mr Kugler over the years. Which ironically is how we were able to conduct ourselves as well as we did in our last session. But in all honestly it was the worst way imaginable to end therapy. I can not think of how to express how it feels. Except that it just feels awful. I'm only rating terrible as to his helpfulness so low because of how our last session was conducted by Mr. Kugler and our resultant unavoidable termination of therapy on our half .

Went to him for help as a couple. Instead he created additional problems that didn't exist before seeing him. When confronted, instead of trying to help, he became defensive. Untrustworthy and unethical. Do not see him as a couple. Do not trust him.

He seems nice at first, but he will say things that are not true and then ask you to agree with him! He looses his temper and is scary!
