Dr. Martinson, a native of the Wayzata area, has been in practice for over 20 years and is known for his dedication and commitment to his patients.  Along with his warm, caring and accommodating staff, Dr. Martinson’s emphasis on proactive dental care is essential to his practice.  Whether you are receiving routine dental care or in need of the latest techniques in restorative or cosmetic care, the quality and excellence in his work will be noticed.  It is our office mission to make every effort possible to insure that your visit is the best it can be!
Dr. Martinson’s educational background started at Loma Linda University in California where he received his B.S. in Biophysics and continued on to Loma Linda Dental School graduating in 1981.  There Dr. Martinson completed a one year …residency at the University Hospital as well as an additional residency at the V.A. Hospital in Redlands, California.  Dr. Martinson has continued his education by attending numerous post doctorate courses and seminars such as those offered by the L.D. Pankey Institute in Florida and The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
In addition, Dr. Martinson is very active in many other professional associations.  He is a member of the Minneapolis District Dental Society, Minnesota Dental Association, Minnetonka Study Club, Implant Educational Continuum and former resident dentist at Hillcrest Nursing Home. 
When on the water, you’ll find him involved within the sailing community.  Dr. Martinson qualified and attended the 2004  US Olympic Trials, sailed numerous World Championship level regattas and works closely with both the local and national sailing level events as a Senior U.S. Sailing Judge.
