About Me
Welcome to my personal web page. I feel it is important for patients and other visitors to this web site to understand a little bit more about my background. I am originally from New York City, having lived there through high school. I went to the University of Notre Dame, where I received a bachelor of science degree and also watched Notre Dame win its last football championship! I then obtained a master of science degree in physiology from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. I attended medical school back in New York, receiving a degree from The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. I decided in medical school I wanted to pursue the excitement of emergency medicine, so I completed a 4 year residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York, which is a trauma center. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2003 after completion of my residency.
My decision to become a physician occurred relatively early in life, when I was in junior high …school. I simply had an inner desire to help people and my interest in the sciences cemented my decision to pursue medicine as a career. I enjoy many aspects of practicing emergency medicine. I have an opportunity to meet a variety of people daily with various types of medical conditions, and this allows me to treat multiple medical problems each day. I also enjoy the hands-on nature of the emergency medicine field.
Kaiser Permanente has been a great working environment for me. The department I work for has strong camaraderie among the physicians and nurses, and is a positive work place. The Emergency Department is also a new construction within the last year and is state of the art, as well as expansive, allowing excellent medical care for our patients. As far as my own practice philosophy, I like to consider myself as a helping hand in improving a person's health, whether I'm physically treating a disease or providing some teaching material, and allowing at times the body to heal itself.
I belong to a few clinical organizations. I am a member of the American Osteopathic Association as well as the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. I recently became a member of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California. My prior clinical interests included being a research assistant at Georgetown University where I assisted in multiple drug trials testing new medications on volunteer patients.
In my spare time, I enjoy exercising at the gym and am an avid football and baseball fan. I have been married for 9 years to my college sweetheart Sharon, and have a 3 year old daughter named Erika. I also like to cook in my free time and catch up on recent movies.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews
Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.
Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.
Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
