Dr. Bruce Matthew Mayer, MD

You must be exactly on time but he hurries the appointment. He is not a good doctor. He held my 1st drug test against me that was prescribed by my doctor he replaced, then 1 month I didnt give a specimen, he said I failed. How could I fail a test I didn't take? The man is n unprofessional, money hungry FOOL who lost his by NY Dr license for giving his patients pills from deceased patients in the medicine bottle they were originally in. What an IDIOT!!

I found Dr. Mayer to be very thorough and knowledgeable. He zeroed in on my problem and helped me immensely. I recommend him highly.

Dr Mayer decided to stop my pain meds without notice after my being on them after 40 years. He claims he can't trust me but wont tell me why. He sent me to t he streets for meds! The month before he rudely dismissed me, he agreed to change my pain meds. He left me to withdraw in total pain. My pain is REAL?!!!! Why would a so called compassionate dr purposely make me suffer?

Just left a not so great review for Dr. Mayer and now want to remove it but not sure how..I finally got information I was calling on for a week!!

I have been trying to get my bloodwork results for a week and a half and after a week of excuses now the phones have been taken off the hook....Dr. Mayer is great but I am sorry to say Christina is usually full of excuses and never calls me back when she says she will..I called at 12:00 today and after an hour of waiting for her to call me back I called back again and Dr Mayer answers and I am hung up on and phone is off the hook now!!! Will remove this negative review as soon as I get satisfactory action!!!

Large practices usually leave patients waiting 30-45 minutes past appointment time. The staff have high turnovers and often are less than helpful. Appointments feel rushed and impersonal. I found the opposite with Dr. Mayer's office today. Though only a first appointment I felt welcome, was treated very well. Dr. Mayer is jovial, thorough and approachable. Felt like an old fashioned small town doc that will know your name when you come in the door. It doesn't hurt that he is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Made me feel at ease and answered my questions

I have been seeing Dr Mayer for MANY years and am beyond grateful that he was chosen FOR me by my insurance company as my PCP. He is very thorough, and extremely courteous and LISTENS to his patients.

When I initially started seeing this Dr. He was very thorough. Then after my surgery, there was a misundtstanding. Not sure if he cared for me. Basically said it was in my head, but yet the Surgeon says no. Its,not in your head. I think a Dr. Needs to understand and work with their patient in wtiting.

The only thing good about this office is the fact that you can get in so quickly. But that's probably because this guy has very few patients. Dr. Mayer's bedside manner sucks and so do his staff. They are all completely rude and Dr. Mayer is a mediocre doctor at best. I would only go here if you are desperate.
