Dr. Bruce Damon McFarland

The Best Doctor I have had since Dr. Frank Laconte. He spent time to listen to what was wrong with me instead of rushing me out the door and not getting to the reason of feeling the way I did. I could call and get an appt the same day he was compassionate.

Dr McFarland is a wonderful and compassion physician and person. Although he is very busy, he never makes you feel rushed or dismissed. He is no longer with the Family Healthcare practice and I'm sad that I can't find him now.

I have had some serious medical issues and some not so serious, but very frustrating, medical issues in the past. Dr McFarland has always taken the time to talk through my options with me with out judgement for my decisions. Dr McFarland is approachable and kind, he has always been willing to listen to my questions and talk through my fears. If he can't find an answer he will look for it or he will refer me out to a specialist who might be better able to diagnose my issue and get it corrected.

I knew after my first visit with this arrogant man that he was a horrible "doctor" After researching him he has had disciplinary actions taken against him. Maybe he is not taking his own medication. The guy is nuts. BEWARE. Do your Homework on your Doctors!!!

I have some complex medical issues and Dr. McFarland is willing to go out of his way to learn enough about them to know where to send me for additional help. He listens to and advises me. As an Osteopath he is willing to treat me as a whole person rather than the next set of symptoms coming through the door.

While the staff was busy trying to locate some items missing from my little one's files, unannounced, this doctor (whom I was not scheduled to see & is not my family doc) entered our exam room to let me know in forceful tones and biting language, he did not agree with my well-researched health choices for my child. I could only respond by rising and courteously introducing myself with a handshake. He neglected to reciprocate. My family doc later apologized for such treatment from the colleague & confirmed her readiness to support health decisions we arrived at together.

Called to day at 10:25 a.m. and now have an appt. at 2:30 p.m. today. Wait is only a few minutes. Doc spends time required to address issue(s). I had a heart attack in May and was very involved with the hospital and cardio docs. His office called me to schedule an appt. so he would be in the loop. I thought that was an indication of Dr. McFarland's involvement w/ his patients. He pays attention!

Dr. McFarland is an excellent doctor who has a professional curiosity about new conditions. He had a tough case with us and he referred us to the right specialist. He relates to my son very well. That is good because my son needs some prompting before he will speak out. We trust Dr. McFarland as he has shown an interest in my son's rare and little known disease. The Dr. has good people skills and is able to listen to, and talk to, anyone.
