My husband had an appt with the doctor to discuss possible surgery. I was not allowed in (they told me no "guests" - a guest is someone you have for dinner or a sleepover) even though we both had questions. I am his WIFE. Serious surgery. They said restrictions because of covid - but they had a resident going in and out of rooms. ??? Sidenote: Both my husband and I fully vaccinated) I was told to wait down the hallway or in our car?? Never offered a chair to sit on (I use a cane) My husband was in there over an hour and a half. Came out with no better answers than when he came in. This was nuts. I'd never go back. Office staff needs class on empathy and how to treat those coming in and out of this office.

I was referred to Dr. McIntosh by my family doctor this past summer when I required surgery. I am so glad he was my surgeon! I had a few challenges because of many internal injuries I experienced years ago as a result of a car accident. His care and attention to detail ensured a very successful operation and recovery. I highly recommend Dr. McIntosh and am thankful for his great work! Molly Smith

My experience was really bad. I do NOT recommend this doctor. I had an injury that was causing me extreme pain and I was getting married in 2 months, could barely walk, and needed a doctor to help me. He waltzed into the room, took a look at my injury, and told me he was going to "do me a favor and do nothing." He said he wouldn't operate because it would cause infection and not heal for 6 months - so basically scared me and lied. I asked "What about the getting married in 2 months part and the extreme pain?" and he said "It's going to hurt. And you should get married." And pretty much left it at that. Needless to say I left the office in tears feeling completely hopeless. Luckily, I refused to take his answer as fact and found a doctor who listened and helped me and the surgery was not a huge ordeal as he suggested. He simply didn't want to perform the procedure and was a jerk in the process. Don't go to him. I'm actually grateful he was a jerk because it brought me to the doctor who… was kind, helpful, and professional and actually helped me.

Very professional ..Slightly brusque but not noticeable ..He did my hernia surgery and everything was very well done with excellent results ..I would highly recommend this Doctor .Surgery was performed at the Unisource center in Troy ..
