Summary

Bruce Paly, DDS
Fine dentistry is both an art and a science. The merging of biologic principles, engineering, and art is one of the unique aspects of dentistry that has sustained my passion for the profession through the years. The creation of functional sculptures, designed to look, feel, and function as teeth, is fascinating. It requires perceptive diagnostic skills, sharp eyes, sensitive hands, integrity, and the capacity to truly listen to our patients, to understand their needs and desires, allowing them to participate in their own treatment decisions. These are the qualities I bring to my practice every day, and when teaching or mentoring younger dentists, these are the qualities I try to instill in them.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at SUNY, Buffalo in 1971 and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1977. Positions as an attending dentist at the Manhattan Veterans Administration Medical Center and instructing at NYU School of Dentistry special care clinic followed. I have been in private practice since 1983. The experience of working with veterans, the medically compromised, and the disabled was rewarding and has been invaluable in my private practice.
Continuing education, the commitment to learning throughout one's career, is another professional responsibility I feel strongly about. It is so important to stay current with advances in the field, whether they are new materials, technologies or techniques.
When I am not in my office you can find me enjoying time with my wife and 12 year old daughter.
I started oil painting not long after becoming a dentist and I found the artistic process allowed me to connect with the more creative aspects of dentistry. Painting has become another passion and my most recent show was earlier this year at Sankofa Gallery, 32 Union Square East in New York City.
To stay fit, I have practiced Eagle Claw Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan for the past 35 years. I continue to do so as often as I can at the world association headquarters in Manhattan, where I am also an instructor. I am also a former marathoner and tri-athlete, but nowadays you can find me cycling around Central Park or New Jersey in the early morning hours of the weekend.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
