Overwhelmed by staff’s professionalism and overall helpfulness

I love the staff and doctors at this office. I have never had a problem getting an appointment or even a long wait time by being a walk-in. My children love Dr. Petitt and his staff. He listens to my concerns and takes the appropriate measures to provide the medical care needed.

I moved to Tuscaloosa and was looking for a pediatrician for my child. At first I liked Dr. Petitt...until my child was sick! As a parent, I felt like he did NOT listen to my concerns, his hand was always on the door knob just waiting for me to stop talking so he could leave, and basically refused to give my child antibiotics when it was clearly needed. Therefore, several days later and still not better, we go back to his office to pay another co-pay, and then a prescription for antibiotics. His staff is rude, the wait time is atrocious, and overall every visit was beyond frustrating.

Dr Petitt and staff are wonderful. He has been my daughter's pediatrician since she was 6 months old and she is now 12 and we have been pleased with him since day 1. He's a little goofy but very caring and knowledgeable.

They will not work you in! Hes crazy and acts crazy! Easily distracted so its very difficult to talk to him! Nures and staff incredibly rude!!!!

Dr Petitt needs to listen to the patient (me) and not my mother! When she answers all his questions for me and tells me to hush not letting me tell him how things truly are, he needs to have my mom leave and talk to me personally for accurate answers. He's not helpful at all!!! I'm a 16 y/o female.
