Dr. Bruce Paul Pfeffer, MD

We went to him only because the guy we liked was fully booked. Dr. Pfeffer said that when our child was being clingy and annoying, we should just ignore him. Later, when I said, â??Sometimes when I canâ??t stand being around him anymore, I walk out of the room,â?? Dr. Pfeffer said, â??You canâ??t do that, because then heâ??ll feel rejected.â?? These statements are directly contradictory. Dr. Pfeffer spent 6 hours reading our childâ??s records (and yes, we had to pay the full hourly rate) and still couldnâ??t reach any kind of conclusion. Instead of talking with him and trying to perform an evaluation, he just said, â??Maybe you should have him admitted to the hospital. The doctors there will give him lots of injections over 4 days and then see what happens.â?? I called that hospital and described our child. The people there said, â??Your child doesnâ??t really have a problem. It would be completely inappropriate for him to come here. He just needs a better school.â??
