Dr. Bruce Lee Platt, MD

Typically I see a different cardiologist at this practice, but when I arrived for my stress test I found out that it was with Dr. Platt. I arrived on time for my appointment, and sat in the waiting room for just shy of an hour (listening to two other people having their stress tests done). When I finally got in he took a personal call while in the room with me, because someone was working on something at his home. He said he would be there soon. I know that I'm a heavier set woman, but he didn't take any time to look at my accomplishments. I was down nearly 50 lbs and have been working out 4 to 5 times a week. While on the treadmill he called me a "couch-potato" no less than 8 times (I assume that he thought he was being cute). Finally I was offended enough that I snapped back as I fought back tears that were welling up. He knew NOTHING about all that I had accomplished. I went in feeling GOOD about myself and here this man was repeatedly calling me names to imply that I was… lazy. He still called me a "couch-potato" again. After the test he took yet another personal call in the room, and told the person working at his house that he would be right there, and he left the nurse to finish up with me. I have NEVER been treated this way before. I didn't want to write a negative review for a Dr, and I even waited more than 6 months to write this... But his actions were in no way professional and I don't believe that anyone should be pushed to the point of tears by their physician.

Made me feel comfortable and told me what was going on

DR DOES NOT EXPLAIN CONDITION IN A MANNER THAT A SENIOR WOULD UNDERSTAND AND HAS A PA THAT IS VERY INDIGNANT. THIS PA WHEN ASKED QUESTIONS ACTS AS THOUGH YOU ARE NOT WORTH HIS ANSWER, NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE. DR PLATTS HOSPITAL MANNERS LEAVES ALOT TO BE DESIRED, TRYING TO IMPRESS THE NEW RESIDENTS WHEN VISITING PATIENT PAYS LITTLE ATTENTION TO PATIENTS QUESTIONS.
