Dr. Bruce Arlan Rabin, MD

Based on months experiencing peripheral neuropathy (PN) in my feet and legs, as well as family history of severe PN, I consulted Dr. Rabin in Jan. and Mar. 2021. After conducting an EMG and various blood studies, Dr. Rabin was unable to reach any diagnosis and sent me on my way. A year later, I consulted a neurologist at Penn Medicine and was diagnosed with hereditary Amyloidosis (hATTR), a progressive disease that, if not treated, is extremely debilitating and ultimately fatal. Because successful treatment is dependent on early diagnosis and a full year passed between my examination by Dr. Rabin and my diagnosis (confirmed by genetic testing through a blood draw), I fear that potential success in treatment and possible recovery from the damage caused by amyloid deposits has been materially compromised. I am haunted by the reality that my diagnosis was delayed a full year because Dr. Rabin did not suspect that my symptoms and family history were possibly caused by hATTR and… ordered the genetic test that would have definitely identified hATTR or ruled it out.

Everything seems great unril its time to actually diagnose you Suspect he covers up missed stroke and other medical mistakes.

Waited 3 months to see this doctor who wear a badge that says Proff of Neuro at johns Hopkins. spent 15 min with me, never looked at my scans or labs. asked me if when I drink a Slurpee fast do I get a brain freeze. Of course, who doesn't. than said only people who have migraines get brain freezes. That's not even why I was there. He said " you have migraines so deal with it"! He should be ashamed to have the title he does. As long as I live I will never see another Johns Hopkins doctor again. I will travel to Washington Hospital center in DC. Would never recommend this doctor to anyone who needs a true diagnosis. Called to make a complaint at Johns Hopkins and I received a letter today that they do not handle complaints for that doctor due to he is not a doctor of neuro at Johns Hopkins, he is in a private practice. But wears a badge that says Proff of neuro @ JH????

This doctor reviewed my very large chart and made sure my questions were answered before I left. Very thorough. I am a doctor too and would recommend him highly.

very professional, explained everything in my "terms" so there was no misunderstanding, called the next day after my last MRI to give me good news!

I thought he was quite good and spent a lot of time with me. He seemed much more knowledgable of the issues I was presenting with than the other doctors in his same field that I had seen before.
