Dr. Bruce Andrew Salzberg, MD

I highly recommend Dr Salzberg. He is extremely knowledgeble and made a routine visit unintimidating. I respected his confidence to compliment another doctor in his field, and appreciated his kind and professional manner. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent doctor.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. He is an awful doctor (if you can even call him doctor). He is very rude, inconsiderate, dissmisive, and arrogant. He is insensitive and has little interest in caring about his patients. He was cold and abrupt when I asked questions. Very unprofessional. I would never recommend him to anyone. Please be careful.

If you ever need a Dr with experience on matter of stomachs or intestines he should be the one that operates on you or help you with your imatomach or intestinal problems you need Dr Salzburg

I sought out Dr Salzberg when I first arrived in ATL. He has been a competent and caring doctor for me over these 25 years and has been the primary reason that my Crohn's disease has been alleviated to the point of complete healing. I would be incapable of giving him a negative review: he was educated in Western NY (same as me) and I think he is genuine and is simply being himself. In my experience he goes out of his way to keep the mood light-hearted in the midst of what is expected to be a very challenging medical situation.

I wish I could give Dr. Salzberg 0 stars. While I didn't care for Dr. Salzberg's personality or bedside manner at all, this isn't the reason for my negative review. If a doctor can help me feel better, I am willing to put up with a lot. I am not however willing to put up with incompetence. While I didn't feel Dr. Salzberg presented a convincing argument of his diagnosis of me, I was so desperate to feel better, I decided to give the prescription he ordered for me a try. The problem is, I have lupus and the medication he prescribed has a KNOWN side effect of causing lupus in people who do not have it and worsening lupus in patients who already have it. For months I suffered with what I thought was a horrible flare, only to discover that my worsening symptoms were caused by a medication I NEVER should have been prescribed. I usually ALWAYS read up on my prescriptions, and I can't believe I didn't with this one, but I would like to think it is not unreasonable to have faith that… your doctor would check for contraindications BEFORE he or she prescribes a medication to a patient. I was incredibly sick and miserable for over 7 months on this medication. Once I discovered the contraindication, I immediately stopped taking the medication and began to feel remarkably better within a few days. This, coupled with his argumentative nature, causes me to recommend you think twice before visiting Dr. Salzberg.

It’s blows my mind that this man touts that he specializes in inflammatory bowel disease. He scoped me, told me repeatedly that I had IBS, meanwhile (many severely ill) years later my Boston based specialists pulled his records that all showed my inflammatory bowel disease was confirmed on his colonoscopy report. I was severely ill and he failed to address my my symptoms and treat my disease that HIS biopsy showed. I even went for follow up appointments and he still failed to recognize or the error. Horrendous medical treatment and a disgrace to the profession. He shouldn’t be practicing medicine. Complete and utter negligence that was confirmed by GI specialists that currently care for me.

Excellent Dr I am stunned at the idiots who have written bad reviews I have been a pt of his and referred several friends all of them loved him He listens,cares,takes time and explains . I would refer family and anyone else to him for the best care

If you don't have text book symptoms he will make you feel stupid and like you are there just to breath his air , he is very uncompassionate , rude , condescending , just a a hole ! First thing he will ask is what you are doing in his office in away that you will wonder why also ! I wouldn't even give him half a star on this rating !

Started using him because a good friend uses him for he colitis and likes him. i found him rude and condescending. if he doesn't find your symptoms or condition of interest, then he doesn't really show interest in your symptoms. He has never physical examined me in the office. never listens to bowel sounds, like other gastro doctor routinely do during office visits. wouldn't tale my dogs to him.
