Dr Steinberg and his P.A., Taylor, worked together to transplant tendons from my forearms and used it to fix the joints in my thumbs which had been eaten up by Degenerative Arthritis. By using my own body tissue there was no risk of rejection. In addition, the recovery time is much shorter than traditional joint replacement. I highly recommend Dr Steinberg and his team.

I saw Dr. Steinberg at JOI for my right hand, with in a few short weeks. After having had the test to check the nerves in my hand, it was strongly suggested I have surgery on my hand. I was scheduled for Carpal Tunnel Surgery. I was nervous about having surgery on my dominant hand, but everything went so smoothly. I only had 4 OT appt, and my hand was back in use. I had loss feeling in two of my fingers and those a starting to come back. Dr. Seinbery and his staff were amazing, I highly recommend anyone need carpal tunnel surgery to seek him out. Dr Steinberg and staff are just amazing. They ensure you are heard, and any issues concerns are addressed before you leave. Dr Steinberg is kind and looks at all options of how to help and get me back to where you were before the pain. If you need help with your shoulder, elbows of hands Dr Steinberg is the doctor you need to see.

Dr. Steinberg performed my first surgery on my hand in 2004. Since that time he has performed eight additional surgeries. He has replaced two shoulders. He has fused a joint in my finger, and he has removed assist from a finger. The last surgery he did for me was December 2024. I have been extremely pleased with the surgeries and the services Dr. Steinberg and his staff have provided. He spends time with his patients and he answers all concerns. I have never gone into a surgery, but he has performed without knowing exactly what he planned to do and the outcome he was expecting. I have recommended Dr. Steinberg to several friends and acquaintances, and they have been just pleased with the service he and his staff have provided. In my opinion as a patient, not a medical person, I don’t think there is anyone any better?

Dr. Steinberg not only eliminated my pain, but as a result changed my life. Having worked in medicine for 50 years, I am very critical of doctors and their practice. Dr. Steinberg and his staff were always courteous, professional and kind and never kept me waiting. Dr. Steinberg performed my rotator cuff repair. He and his office staff were very helpful throughout the process explaining what to expect throughout the process. Best of all the surgery was a success and I am pain free!

I would give Dr. Steinburg a 5 Star if it wasn't for the poor effort to ensure that I would have an interpreter for my appointments. It has happened twice that the office forgot to book an interpreter when there is already a notice on my account that I require one. The service and work I receive from Dr. Steinburg was awesome and he is fast and on the point and doesn't waste our time when talking to us and answers any concerns I have.

Although the office is always busy, the receptionists are efficient and the time to be seen is minimal. The PAs and Dr. Steinberg are very thorough and professional. I had surgery on both my hands and am very happy with the results. My hands no longer go to sleep and I have no more recurring pain. Dr. Steinberg is a great surgeon!
