Dr. Bruce Sutor, MD

If you are a female avoid an assessment from Bruce Sutor. He spent 10 minutes with me and gave me a diagnosis of somatic symptom disorder which ultimately led to a long and difficult road for me to get my physical health problems taken seriously. I had a previous spine surgery that had complications and ultimately I had a fractured vertebra and 4 nerve root compressions and spinal cord compression. However I suffered 1 entire year longer than I needed to because his hasty conclusion of somatic symptom disorder discredited me to all future health care providers. Mayo refused to remove the diagnosis from my chart. It follows you forever and it made my life terrible. Imagine walking around with a broken neck and not being believed because this doctor made a reckless diagnosis. Apparently he has written, reviewed and published many articles on somatic disorders. Clearly he is biased and I cannot tell you how devastating my 10 min visit with him has been for my life.
