Dr. Bruce Robert Zwiebel, MD

Our office is located in Tampa General Hospital, a 900 bed teaching facility. Our staff consists of 6 Interventional Radiologists and 2 ARNP's. Interventional Radiology, a subspecialty of Radiology, uses CT scans, MRI, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders. Inteventional radiology and vascular surgery have joined talents to offer patients endovascular repair of AAA's as an alternative to conventional surgery in selected candidates. In our specially designed endovascular OR suite, surgeons and radiologists are able to repair AAA's in about one hour with lower incidence of mortality and shorter hospital stay. Our team has performed over 100 of these unique procedures and are pleased with low complication rate, favorable outcomes, and most importantly high patient satisfaction. Dr. Zwiebel is a graduate of Duke University and New York University, School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at Columbia …Presbyterian Medical Center of New York where he was also Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology. Dr. Zwiebel has been employed by Radiology Associates of Tampa since 1992 and is Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery and Radiology with the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. He also has a certificate of added qualification in Interventional Radiology. Dr. Zwiebel is a reviewer for Radiology and the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He also practices at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City and Kindred of Tampa, Florida.
