Dr. Bruno Rossi Bastos, MD

My father might still be alive if he had not seen Dr.Bastos..He ran blood work but did not look at it.Our oncologist was on vacation and Dr.Bastos was filling in,he sent my father home extremely dehydated and our oncologist saw dads bloodwork and told us Dr.Bastos should have admitted dad to the hospital immediately..instead Dr.Bastos sent him home after not being able to keep food down for 5 days,This doctor either forgot to look at dads bloodwork or was just to busy..Horrible,terrible doctor..His liscence should be revoked..By the time we went back to the hospital 5 days later to see his regular oncologist,,,it was too late and the e.r. doctors as well as hios own oncologist said we should have brought him in sooner,but NO....Dr.Bastos was too busy..Karma will catch up hopefully..

8:45 am appointment, doctor showed up at 9:45 am spent 5 minutes rushed the visit. When I called back and asked for a direct call from the doctor the nurse returned the call. She was very nice but I wanted to speak to him. All future calls are returned by the nurse. He has as much time for phone conversations as he does for visits.

I met with Dr. Bastos for the first time yesterday. Rather than the usual stressful situation which these first meetings with a doctor usually feel like, I was greatly impressed by Dr. Bastos level of caring, knowledge and personal warmth. I left the meeting cheerful and full of hope, based on realistic expectations.
