Dr. Bruno Discala, DO

Big thanks to Dr. Di Scala for easing my anxiety and pain on my recent surgery. He explained what was going to happen and how he was going to make the surgery as comfortable as possible. He even called the next day to speak with me, asking how I was doing! I'm 53, never had surgery - he put me at ease from start to finish - thank you, Dr. Di Scala! I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone!

I have had many surgeries and by far Doctor Bruno Discala was the best anethesiologist I have ever had, he truly is a man at peace with the world. He shows great compassion and concern for his patients. I would hope and pray that if I needed Doctor Discala again that God would have him their for me.

This was my first time in the operating room and Dr. Di Scala made me feel very comfortable explaining the procedure in detail, and most importantly, made the removal of my appendix a painless experience. It was over before I knew it and I was checked out before noon the next day!

Dr. Discala was my anesthesiologist for my c-section and he was wonderful. He came in before my procedure and introduced himself and explained exactly what was going to happen with my epidural. When he did my epidural he explained everything he was doing and was very caring. Once my baby was born he went above his duty and even took pictures for us.

Dr. Discala helped to ease what could have been a scary experience (an unplanned c-section). He was kind and caring throughout the time he was with me and took the time to follow up in person several times after the surgery as well as via phone once I was home. He also went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and safe during the surgery, staying right by my side. I've had other friends who have gone through surgery and had terrible experiences with their anesthesiologists, so I feel extremely grateful we had Dr. Discala.

Dr. Di Scala was extremely conversant and caring as the assigned anesthesiologist for my back surgery. He took the time to understand my needs, fully explained his key role in the surgery, ensured I fully understood his part in the procedure, and followed up with a post surgical visit and post surgical telephone call. Throughout the procedure and process, he showed his genuine caring nature and always put my concerns at the top of many things he had to consider for this procedure. He is the consumate professional.

Very personable, competent and professional. A friendly physician in whose hands I felt completely safe.

My 1st encounter with Dr DiScala was in pre-op: he arrived well in advance of my surgery to explain what would happen frm his professional perspective. His explanantions were clear and readily understandable: as nearly as I can tell, during the surgery all went as planned. He followed up post-op within a few days to ensure I was recovering from the anaesthesia as I should.

My interaction with the doctor was just prior to, during, and after my surgery. Prior to - he took the time to explain what was going to happen through all phases of the surgery, during - he must have done everything right, no complaints (lol). After - he did a follow-up with me in the hospital room checking on how I was feeling, my general condition and if there was anything else I needed. All in all he made me feel very comfortable about the surgery I want through.

Explained things to me and my family so I could understand before my major surgery. Caring demeanor, excellent bedside manner. I had epidural placed in upper back-between shoulders, special monitor in my wrist for my blood pressure and special IV in my neck---all before my surgery. Felt no pain or discomfort.Waking up in recovery room, I had no pain.Thank you for taking care of me
