Dr. Bryan Richard Bartholomew, DO

I just got an itemized bill from my doctor that shows what my insurance paid vs. my portion. Its pretty good insurance, my colonoscopy only cost me $25.00. Okay thats fine but when I got the cost breakdown one of the items was a, (here is exactly what the line items says), 3 - 20 minute smoking cessation counseling, and the charge to me is $22.00. I know what service I received and what conversation I had with the doctor. At NO TIME did Dr Ryan Bartholomew mention a single word about smoking or not smoking, nor did any of his office staff. You cant tell me his office staff doesnt know about it. I could almost buy this if they would have handed me a flier and said try and stop smoking. But even that didnt happen. I could care less if he misrepresents items to the insurance company, but the man itemized what his bill was and the insurance company eliminated what they paid and the remainder is $47.00. Ill pay $25.00 because my insurance shows that breakdown. However, Dr Bryan Bartholomew… is not only NOT going to see that $22.00 hes going to from my lawyer how he and/or his staff of being the reason insurance companies have so many rules and cost so much. They would lock me UP if I even came close to pulling this CON on anyone
