Dr. Bryan Elzholz, MD

Dr. Elzholz does only one thing. He optimizes treatment based on medical coding. Not to be confused with a code of ethics.

I didn't know Dr. Elzholz is not board certified in Pain Management by the Board of Anesthesiologists while he was treating me, incorrectly. Pain Management is a sub-specialty of the anesthesia specialty. You first pass the anesthesia certification and then have three chances to pass the Pain Management sub-specialty board exam. Dr. Elzholz failed the sub-specialty exams all three time and is no longer eligible to become certified. He lies...or stretches the truth...when he tells patients he is board certified in Pain Management when he only passed the general anesthesia boards. Dr. Elzholz pressed on my back and diagnosed me with arthritis of my facet joints. He gave me Percocet tablets for 7 days and recommended I have facet joint injections 6 days into the Percocet therapy. Dr. Elzholz promised that after the injections he would prescribe 30 days of Percocet and a second facet joint injection. My back pain runs down my left leg to my foot. I searched the internet based on… my symptoms. It said I had either disk disease or vascular disease. I had an angiogram three weeks which diagnosed my disease correctly. Last week I had an angioplasty and stent placed by a vascular surgeon. I am now pain free. Dr. Elzholz failed to diagnose my disease. Pressing on my back will not diagnose my problem. Pressing on my back does not diagnose facet arthritis according to the experts. Dr. Elzholz would have me loose my leg. No wonder he is not Board Certified in Pain Management. He failed the board exams multiple times likely because he does not know the core material necessary to practice Pain Management.

After seeing Dr. Elzholz for about 2 years I left. I have looked for a new doctor, but each one very politely tell me they don't take patients previous cared for by Dr. E. On questioning, one told me that Dr. E's care is so outside of their standards that they cannot in good conscience try to repair the damage Dr. E has done

This is one of the worst doctors I come upon , him seeing my MRIs how I have a twisted spine , herniated disk on the spine and 3 herniated disk on the neck and tendonitis, he said no cant help you, he just want to give shots and I had shot before with a different doctor and it did not work for me and made me bleed for months , so basically he said that was a lie , this doctor while I was waiting in the waiting area for hours and hours were whispering among each other that he is under investigation, the day I went the cops were called on him by a patient, apparently he had giving percocets to a pregnant woman ,now the baby is sick , and giving out pills to people who had no pain, no proof they were sick . I hope he goes through full investigation, these kind of doctors dont care , they care about the money yes !

Today I was at 2008 Eastchester road seeing another doctor. On my way out I'm at the front desk and he comes storming in the office telling at the girls at the front desk. I mean yelling , and not caring that there is a patient at the desk. He going off.... then he goes in the back office and start yelling at the office manager .. he is yelling and yelling at her.. then he calls them liars and continues to yell at them. After about 20 mins of yelling he slides the door and continues to yell at her. He yelling so loud we still hear him clearly in the waiting from.. Omg this goes on for like a good 20 to 25 mins of him yelling. When he finally comes out I say to him that he is rude and disrespectful. He then ask the girls who and I and they tell him I'm a patient. I tell him again how rude it is for him to be yelling at them like that with a room full of patients, he them closes the goad windows in my face and tell me he wasnt talking to me and that this is his office and he can do… what he want to do. I tell him this is not your office its Dr. Gopals office and he then walked away.. I want this doctor to be punished for what he did and I will not stop until something is done. He is nasty, rude, and disrespectful to his staff and patients. Dont ever go see him. EVER...

He cuts the medication knowing that I have alot of pain in my lower back on the left side , the shots work for only two weeks and them I am in alot of pain. He is a nice Dr. but he don't care if you are in pain. I have multiple surgery.

Let me tell you this...I am his Patient Lopez,I suffered 5 gunshot wounds multiple Surgeries &a lot of Nerve Damages.but when I see Dr Elzhotz he pinpoints my pain 100% pain free when I leave his office!!!

Most people do not understand what pain management is all about and expect the dr. to cure them yet in the same breath they all tell you that they don't want or can't have a surgery. I am very happy with Dr. Elzholz and feel that he has definitely made a significant difference in my quality of life. They probably could use a little improvement in their organization of appointments, some days it is really bad but that is the one area that needs improvement. I have been to other dr's who won't even keep trying to help you and immediately try to get you to see a surgeon in their pratice.

Dr Elzholz is comprehensive with his treatment and truly cares about his patients.

This doctor does not listen to my complaints regarding other pain other than one at any specific visit. Suggest the same procedures although first time it does not work.Three years later and lots of procedures, I have the sane pIn I started with or even worst. He does not refer to other specialist.
