Dr. Bryan William Fennelly, MD

If I could give lower than 1 star I would. This man is condescending and when something doesn't go his way he acts like a petulant teenager. He goes off on tangents that are unrelated to the situation. He called in refills days, a week late even though they were overdue causing missed doses. Does not care about his patients. Extremely pompous and convinced of his own self importance. If you're thinking of going to him RUN the other way, anyone else would be a better practitioner.

This practitioner is not professional. He is talking vague. It took him 4 weeks to write a report that is nonsense.

Fennelly has a reputation for diagnosing patients quickly and libreally. He also tends to prescribe the same powerful medications over and over again. Fennelly also has a habit of talking down to and shaming the patient, which is a dangerous environment for seeking treatment. He should unwaveringly be of the mindset that there is nothing you did to “deserve” or “cause” your mental illness, and there is nothing shameful about being mentally ill or seeking treatment. Still, Fennelly historically makes the patient feel bad about their condition. His lack of humility is dangerous because he believes he does not make mistakes. Yes, he has an advanced degree, but this does not mean that he is all-knowing and all-powerful. If you do decide to see this doctor, do not be afraid to get a second opinion to ensure that he did not misdiagnose you.

While his style is a bit unorthodox, he was an absolute life saver for me while dealing with a crisis with my child and my ex.

Our child had the unfortunate experience of being evaluated by Bryan. He came into the process with a pre-conceived notion about both our child, and us as parents. He is a terrible listener, constantly interrupted both parents, and made certain assumptions based on either his limited or incorrect understanding of the situation. Asked a question, then interrupted the answer because it "wasn't helpful" or because he had another "very important" question to ask. During a telephone call -- that he initiated -- he told me repeatedly that I was wasting his time, and then spent five solid minutes in a soliloquy about himself and his impressions of me as a person and as a parent despite the fact that we never met and had only spoken a few minutes before he unloaded his thoughts. I have never experienced such an unprofessional, thoughtless, and self-centered person in my life. Do yourself a favor, and run in the opposite direction.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the few positive reviews of “Dr.” Fennelly on this site were just written himself. Absolutely terrible.

It took a while before I opened up to him, but once I did everything improved. He takes my feedback seriously. He shows me the potential I have. He is warm but very direct. Dr. Fennelly is not trying to win a popularity award so for people looking to complain but not do the work to change, find another doctor. His premium prices seemed high but he gets results so I'm happy to pay. For those of us that can afford him and also enjoy his no nonsense style, he is a miracle worker.

I cannot belive this man is in practice. He was almost irrational. Described himself as an "authority figure" to my child ruining any chance of a therapeutic alliance. He talked about himself, answered the phone and walked out of the office several times. It's terrifying that this person is diagnosing and prescribing for people. Run as fast as you can.

I will never take my child to see Dr. Fennelly again and I most definitely will not recommend him to any other parent. He should not be treating children.
