Dr. Bryan Walter Gawley, MD

Dr. Gawley has been excellent in my reconstruction path after breast cancer. My results look so good that my breast surgeon would like to utilize my photos for future patients. Thank you Dr. Gawley

This is your warning. This doctor puts on a good show, but is completely incompetent. Took other doctors to fix all what was done wrong - and not something anyone should have to go through after cancer treatment.

We have all heard the saying if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Well it was no different with Dr.Gawley. As I told him.. I’m not saying he doesn’t have a talent to see the imperfections in people, and a gift to but the pieces back together. But unfortunately what he does lack is the ability to own up to his mistakes, listening to the patient durning their after care, not neglecting obvious problems that cause permanent damage. Too busy worrying about the patient in the next room, what procedure they are here for, not seeing the one in front of him is healing. Dr. Gawley performed a double eye lift on me due to a birth defect I have to my left eyelid. Immediately, after surgery and opening my left eye I felt this sharp pain the nurse said all she was getting out of my eye was blood. Two days later at post op appt. explained everything to Dr. Gawley. He said a stitch could have scratched the cornea, If I’m still in pain the next few days call him. Why didn’t he… send me then?? I ended up going to the eye Dr due to severe pain in the eye, headaches, and I the fact I couldn’t see out of the eye. A stitch did scratch the cornea, I had several tears and continued to have pain, headaches and no vision for 8 wks, I still wear a contact to protect the eye. I had already scheduled a tummy tuck in about 8 wks and I had the summer off so I didn’t want to cancel. But looking back wish I did. With the experience of the eye and when I had my pre op with Amber and I’m asking questions about the liposuction and how much Dr. Gawley removes and she smiles and say “oh he knows that’s why he gets paid the big buck.” Was probably another sign. About 6 wks after my tummy tuck I noticed this Bulge in my lower right abdomen?? I called they had me email them pictures and called me back and scheduled and appt the following wk. Dr. Gawley looked and said it’s fluid I probably tore a muscle and the fluid is healing the area?? No, the drain was taken out too soon and the fluid isn’t supposed to be there. This went on for months . Now I have no range of motion, can’t lift my arms over my head, explain to him in several visits that it feels like someone is squeezing my insides, hard to breath if I’m exercising, it feeling like someone is pulling my legs, and someone is pulling my arms and just stretching me apart. He again past it off, many times talked of his own injuries and healing time. Well I just had to have a complete tummy tuck revision. My belly button had to be cut out because it was so scarred , and two huge, thick pieces of scar tissue were removed from my stomach. Thank you Dr. Gawley. For not listening. Thank you for permanently damaging to my eye, thank you for the mental, emotional, and physical stress you have caused me the past 16 months. I hope we both learned something from this. What is really sad in my cause with my eye my whole life I was self conscious of it, made fun of and thought omg finally the answer. You did a wonderful job but at what cost?? As for the tummy tuck I literally used my life sayings, lost weight and felt worse and still do after and have gained 25lbs through all this not working out the stress, so again thank you.

He is unethical in telling you lies that you are not a candidate for a procedure, only because he does not do the procedure (and later learning from other physicians that you are a perfect candidate for that procedure). He is degrading in his comments to you if you are slightly overweight. He ignores serious infections and wound separation until it requires another surgery - then a third surgery that resulted in being deformed (gaining payment now for additional surgeries). You never speak with him when you have an emergency, only his staff, and he is in the office with you for seconds. If you have cancer and looking for reconstruction to feel whole again - run as fast as you can from this doctor.

Long wait with every visit. Rescheduled follow up appointments and the doc is in and out so quick I never have time to ask a question. Staff is friendly except for one specific staff member that is also late for scheduled appointment and provided very poor pre-op teaching. The only info she provided that was exact was the amount the procedure would cost. Not impressed.

I am a breast cancer patient, and met with Dr. Gawley to discuss breast reconstruction/revision surgery. When I asked about the lead time for scheduling surgery, Dr. Gawely's assistant, Amber Acosta, cheerfully told me I would need to wait a few months because they were busy getting everyone ready for bikini season. Ouch. That insensitive comment was a total deal breaker for me because it revealed how infrequently they work with people that truly need help. Let Dr. Gawley and his staff stick with prototypical breast augmentation. If you need breast reconstruction/revision services, do yourself a favor, and keep looking like I did.

I had met with two other doctors for a breast augmentation before I met with Dr. Gawley. I was fortunate enough to attend their Breast Event in which they covered a vast amount of information on breast augmentation. Dr. Gawley met with me after the event to discuss getting a lift as well. His demeanor and genuine care for my situation solidified my choice in using him as my surgeon. Throughout the process he answered all of my questions, made me feel like I was being heard when describing what I wanted, and made me feel like he was on my team. From my first consultation until my last post-op, I was a priority. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with my results. Thank you Dr. Gawley!

After many years of wanting and needing a "mommy makeover" I finally did it and haven't looked back. Dr. Gawley and his staff have changed my life for the better! I feel and look great. My husband can't believe the difference in my confidence level. Thank you Dr.Gawley!

Dr. Gawley has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. I have never had to wait long for my appointments. Dr. Gawley takes pride on a job well done and also provides excellent tools, such my compression garment AND the Vincenzo bra which are making my healing process more comfortable.

My breast reduction was a breeze. After having 5 pounds removed, I had no problems post-op and look better than natural. Dr. Gawley's skill set is higher than others I consulted with who wanted to do free nipple grafts and weren't sure what my outcome would be. Dr. Gawley is personable and attentive, which is hard to find. His office staff went above and beyond for me. ~A former nurse
