Dr. Bryan Henry Heath, MD

Dr. Heath diagnosed my son's problem and did the surgery. He explained everything to us. We're so blessed to have had him to do this surgery. ??

I called and made an appointment and was told it would be 2 months before they could get me in. My appointment just happened to be the week that we had a major hurricane. No one from his office called me to cancel my appointment. They day before the hurricane, I drove to the office and the doors were locked. When I called a few days after the storm, the lady that answered the phone did not listen to me, and said they had called me, was extremely rude and hung up on me. I called a second time and she hung up on my again. I called a 3rd time and got someone different, and she said it be Feb(4 months away) before they could see me. I had heard really good things about Dr. Heath and was looking forward to seeing him, but after the rude staff which was inexcusable, I will not be seeing him. I asked if there was office manager and was told there was not. He may be a great doctor, but his staff was some of the rudest people I have ever encountered.

I have many gastroenterology problems and through Dr. Heath's excellent care I am able to live with my illnesses

Experience and awards don't mean anything if you can't make and keep an appointment. I was told 36 hours before my scheduled procedure that the time had been moved up 3 hours and that I would need to be at the hospital at 6:15 am. I couldn't change my transportation arrangements on such short notice, so I canceled. Nobody at the office seemed to know why or when the schedule had been changed or why I hadn't been consulted. At no time did the doctor or staff offer an apology.

Dr Heath is a great doctor , I’ve been seeing his for years and have never had a problem with the care I received . He is a very kind and caring man . The staff both at his office and in the hospital where he does procedure have been kind and understanding as well .

Had a Colon and EGD done same time. It was very convenient and inexpensive because the procedures were done at his office instead of a facility. No facility charges. Everyone in his office was very nice.

I was also told Dr. Heath had an "emergency" after my procedure. I don 't expect him to sit around all day waiting for me to wake up, but I don't expect to be lied to either. I'm not a fool. Why can' he just tell patients that they will get the results in a few days? They have to send the polyps off for tests anyway. And I, too, was asked to make an appointment just for him to give me the same results I got over the phone. Maybe I got a few more details. But I lived 50 miles away at that time. Neither of those is a deal breaker, because he seems to be a good doctor and I think I could do worse in this area.

Strange little office. Very odd. Misspellings on sign in area. Someone hacking up a lung in the back.

He wasn't there when I "woke up" from my procedure. They said he had an emergency. He was really late for my post colonoscopy appt and I was the first patient. I think he had another "emergency". Actually, I think he tries to work in as many procedures as he can even if patients have to wait or miss being told what happened during the procedure. Also, he was in and out like a shot during the post visit and didn't know how many polyps I had removed except for the 2 pre-cancerous ones. He told me nothing more than I was told on the phone prior to the visit, but I, and the insurance company were charged for the visit. He wanted me to come back in a year, but wasn't specific about what the visit would be for when I asked. My brother didn't have to go back to his doctor for 5 years after his colonoscopy.
