Dr. Hicks is condescending, rude, strange, creepy, arrogant, abrasive, etc..

Stay away from this doctor! I was to have a full body check. He acted like I had a contagious disease. Very condescending. Never checked my questionable spots and wouldn't touch them. He said living in the sun created my skin conditions. Well Dr Hicks? At least I lived my life taking my kids to the beach. I've had a blast and wouldn't want it any other way versus staying in my house and not having fun. He's a joke!

He talked to me like I was an idiot. He refused to provide me with prescription from previous diagnosis given by his office. He instead, gave me a prescription for something not advised for pregnant women. Do not trust him.

I went to see Dr Hicks for autoimmune disease and after 2 trips and 3biopsies later his original remark of Pemphigus Foliaceus was confirmed. He unceremoniously told me I had two options of intravenous cure and even he felt they were not favorable for a senior citizen like myself. I asked if there was oral treatment possible and he emphatically said no. I have found a number of doctors in Gainesville that do that precisely. He was arrogant, uncaring and very cold and his explanations were very difficult to grasp. I told him I would think about the options and he told me to come back in 2 months......about a month ago, - I just called and asked for some pain and itch medication and something to keep the sores from getting infected and after 2 days of calling, his nurse said I could go back to see him or she would send him a message -they have never called in RX for me or done anything at all to help me. It is the most stressful doctor's office I have ever been in and his… medical staff is uncaring as he is. He only gave me cortisone cream and nothing more. You will get no help from this doctor or his staff.

I am a R. N. Went for first new patient visit. Dr Hicks was rude, arrogant, abrasive, and combative. Worst impression I have ever had of a Dr.

I went in to have a place removed. Not a friendly place. I was told if I let them biopsy mine in their office it would be cheaper. So I said yes. They charged me 120.00 for that biopsy. They did not do the biopsy in office they sent it out. I got the bill it was 88.00 which was cheaper. So they charged me 120.00 for nothing and I keep getting a bill that I already paid his office for. Sad they lie to people like that. I am out 120.00 for nothing. He charged me 330.00 that day. And did not pay the pathologist so they are sending me the bill. If you go here get all pricing in writing before you pay anything.

Dr. Hicks removed and extensive large skin cancer behind my ear , that former Dermatologists were afraid to touch due to the size. Not only did he remove the cancer, excellent cosmetic results are noted after the surgery. He is a highly skilled professional and I strongly recommend him.

I went in for a completely cosmetic peel. I knew it would not be my magic pill but I wanted some skin rejuvenation til I had the time to do a laser with such downtime. He basically said you need laser, which I already told him. He said peel is good for small changea and temporary changes which is what I wanted as my husband is returning after being gone 15 months I wanted a nice glow he. Asked me if I had anymore questions after explaining I needed laser and walked out I was charged 75$!!!!!! And peel was not even done. I left in hysterically tears and all the staff did was make sure they charged my card. What a terrible office I cried for hours and now found a new Dr to do it but may have peeling when my husband returns from Afghanistan cause it's later on this week. Heart broken just heart broken.
