Dr. Bryan Michael Lee, MD

Does not listen. Had to seek medical help elsewhere.

Recently some numbness in my back has been spreading rapidly, moving across my spine now. It's been there for years and started as the size of a bottle cap under my right shoulder blade. Prior to seeing Dr. Lee at the appointment, I had x-rays done in another room. Upon examining them, he confirmed my scoliosis I've had for years which I knew about. Then after explaining to him my situation, he said he felt I already has a sense of what is wrong. I told him I had no idea and that's why I was seeing him. He explained it's probably just swelling in the muscles which he followed up by poking my back. I jerked at points and didn't at others and he later described it as pain when it was simple numbness vs. non numb spots. There's a difference between pain and a tickle from being poked. He continued pressing me to tell him what "I" want done and what "I" think it is. I mentioned I've had lower back pain before, but the MRI showed nothing. That pain went away after getting a physical job… strengthened my lower back muscles though. So, I suggested that it might be a pinched nerve. That made him happy and went off with the idea that "I" thought it was nerve pain where he promptly scheduled an MRI after explaining there's a big chance my insurance might not cover it because they have no say whether it will or not. I told him not to bother with the MRI and he annoyingly insisted. So now I have a script I'm going to throw out right after I make an appointment with a different orthopedic doctor from ALLEGHENY. Mainly because I left that office feeling like I just had a reading from a terrible fortune teller.

Having issues with my right knee. Dr LEE has done a GREET JOB diagnosing and treating the problem. GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER ??

He spends time and treats you like you matter. He was so wonderful with my daughter every time she had to go to him. It’s a pleasure to have to deal with him- he’s not all stuck up and snooty like some doctors are. He is a cut above the rest!

The thing I liked best is that I was informed of all my options and got to make an educated decision on my care. Everyone was pleasant and caring and listened to my symptoms, my feelings, and my concerns. They were efficient and thorough. Dr. Lee took the time to answer all our questions and was not hurried.

Could barley use my whole left leg after a car accident and severe pain throughout my body and was notified to see him after I left the er and he told me my leg extending its self and everything was normal
