Dr. Bryan Michael Petti, DO

Dr Petti was personable, insightful, efficient, and articulate. Perhaps what struck me most about him is that he was reinsuring when it came to my concerns about my seemingly faulting memory, which, after asking me for further details, he attributed instead to the increasing inattentiveness that often comes with age – I’m 80 years old, yet generally functioning well physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. I’m also still completely rational and generally organized, so it made sense that I rely more heavily on habit patterns as I age, so I’m not paying as careful attention to where I place things or what various plans I may have for the day. My carefully designed planner, shopping lists, and other types of reminders, help make up for this creeping inattentiveness. In summary, it’s comforting to recognize my “memory problem” as more due to increasing inattentiveness than to fear the early onset of Alzheimer’s, or some other form of dementia!

I'm a complex patient with a little-understood autoimmune disease and a host of nightmare symptoms. I've been in Dr. Petti's care for about 2.5 years after some traumatizing experiences with previous PCPs. Dr. Petti has always been respectful of me as an intelligent, autonomous person. He listens well, he makes me feel understood, he explicitly asks what I need that he can help me with, and we always come up with a plan of action. When he tells me no, he is courteous and clear about his rationale -- I've never had to push back on any of his advice. That's virtually unheard of for people in my situation. I strongly recommend Dr. Petti as your physician, especially if you're a complex patient, yourself. At the time of this review, he works in a practice with highly competent, diligent staff who are as "on top of it" as I've ever seen anywhere, which is a bonus for your consideration.
