Meet Dr. Bryan J. Shanahan
I feel blessed to have the opportunity to practice dentistry. Every day I have the opportunity to work and interact with some of the greatest people I have met. I have wanted to be a Dentist since I was 15 years old when my older cousin, Bernie who I admire, said he was going to be a Dentist. I never changed my mind and to this day I know that I have chosen well. I am as happy today with my profession as I was when I made that decision all those years ago. I have a deep passion for what I do and I hope my patients and team see that in me every day.
I know that I am only as good as the team that works with me. I strive to find people who have a passion for what they do and have compassion towards others. We want to continually advance our knowledge so we can fulfill our mission, which is to provide comprehensive compassionate dental care for our family of patients. We accomplish this though the relentless pursuit of excellence in education and technology.
I …believe that the practice of dentistry is a lifetime pursuit. I constantly seek the best education experiences to expand my knowledge and skills. By doing this I can provide my patients with the most up to date information to assist in their dental car. I have completed all continuums of education at the Panke Institute. I am a faculty member for the Spear Institute and a speaker for the Pride Institute.
I have been in private practice since 1991.
Our philosophy is to help our patients develop a strategy for a lifetime of oral health. We want to help our patients maintain their teeth for the rest of their lives, so they are comfortable, functional and, attractive or aesthetically pleasing. This is achieved by a comprehensive approval that involves our patients. We want to gather the best information with a through exam and arm our patients with the very best information so they can be their own best dental advocates. When we provide services, we want it to be the most up-to-date, comprehensive care we can achieve, in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
We want our patients to feel at home in our office. I like to say "I don’t work on patients; I work on friends." Our desire is to develop quality relationships with our patients.
I enjoy learning about and working with each of our patients individually. To understand a patient’s ultimate goals for their mouth and embark on a journey with them to achieve those goals is fulfilling. I feel my extensive educational background and relentless pursuit of information and technology benefit my patients’ goals for their oral health.
