This doctor way over prescribes medication. Do not enroll in a medication study with him, it will be a horrible experience

My experience was of high value

Saw him at MUSC when I went for ECT therapy, which is a procedure thought to help with depression. I was not suicidal, or out of control. I thought I would just be in the hospital to get my daily treatments. He ended up committing me to a psychiatric wing for no reason at all, except that I have suffered with depression all of my life. It was horrible! Dirty filthy place! He and some people; assistants or trainees or something would call you into a room for about 5 minutes in the morning to see how you are doing. Then They signed some paper for someone (Gov?) to have control of me for a year. I never heard another thing about it or from them since my release after 7 days. He is arrogant, and does not even have any one on one contact, unless you can catch him in the hall. I would NOT recommend this man!

...then i'll take my umbrella and coat for sure. he is brilliant and totally invested, not just in your care but in what your needs are of him as your doctor. Dr. T is sincere and completely down-to-earth, speaking to you and with you, not AT you. At a point in my treatment where I was negligent in my role as patient, Doc reached out to speak with me a few times over the course of a week, often for an hour and change (and often in the evenings, after his rigorous case-filled day). It made me come to my senses-my physician more involved in my treatment than I-and was the catalyst for my investing in much in my person as does my 'white coat' if you will. He is a terrific, ridiculously gifted, fully-involved, and resourceful doctor. I am not quite eloquent enough to do him justice. While I hope no one reading this ever has to see a physician for bipolar disorder "management", but if so there is seriously (no, i mean that) seriously no one in the Milky Way better trained,… equipped, and experienced to serve your needs as Dr. T is.
