My appointment was a 6 month check-up. Dr. Stephens is professional, caring and kind.

He explained in details that I could understand what was needed and why it was necessary. Took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the process.

Dr. Stephens is experienced and knowledgeable. Decisions regarding my care were collaborative.

I was confused about not having a gallbladder and had a ultrasound, suggest by Dr Stephen to have one done before surgery.

I appreciate the fact that Dr. Stephan’s explains what he is going to do clearly and succinctly. He illustrates the procedure and asks if there are any questions. He takes the time the patient needs to understand and feel comfortable.

I'm a chronic pain patient. I was vomiting severely from a hernia. I took a few extra pills a day over the course of a week and ran out a few days early. My hernia got worse so they scheduled surgery the next day. I had previously informed Dr Stephen's I wouldn't have enough medication after surgery. I contacted my pain management Dr and they said that they allow the surgeon to prescribe additional meds since they know what works best to handle pain after surgery. Right before my surgery Dr Stephen's and I discussed this and he said he would be writing a prescription to go home with. I woke up from surgery only to be told I was to just "deal" with it and use tylenol and ice. I have a 3-4 inch incision in my groin. I had a panic attack and was in horrible pain following my surgery. He KNEW before my surgery he was sending me home unable to manage post surgical pain and KNEW he wouldn't normally send a patient home to fend for themselves. He lied to get a surgery and caused me… extreme anguish, pain, and trauma.
