Dr. Bud Louis Wolfson

I have been going to Dr Wolfson for years and love him. Unfortunately the nurse he had who was wonderful retired and the person you see before you see him is always rude. I’m a very easy going person. I kept thinking she must have something terrible going on in her life to be so abrasive. She even cancelled my appt without calling me because she saw I had been to another Baptist physician & she felt “I wasn’t allowed to see any other primary”. She argued with me over the phone and never felt remorse when I expalined. She was mistaken about the other Dr but had already cancelled my physical which takes months to schedule. I have asked her two times to have Dr Wolfson call me but I doubt the message was relayed. Sadly I am leaving the practice because I have found another practice with a good Dr and a very pleasant staff.

I've been going to this office for quite awhile. While I do like the doctor and the office staff, his MA is unbelievably the most condescending person I have ever encountered. This is the person you see BEFORE you see the doctor. She takes your vitals, ask questions, etc. Not at all professional, and not a pleasant experince. And her demeanor is that of a bulldog. I'm not trying to mean but she's just awful.

Dr. Wolfson has been my and my husband's PCP for about 20 years. He has always taken all the time we need to answer questions and put our minds at ease. When he refers you to a specialist, it is always someone either he or one of his family members go to. Sometimes we have to wait a bit but I know that is because he is giving another patient the same time he will give to us. He doesn't prescribe every possible testing procedure just because it is a "billable procedure." He tests what the patient NEEDS. He's kind, gentle and never blows off a silly question I might have. He listens!

I am compelled to write this because of the unprofessional service I received from the Staff at Dr. Wolfson's office and I believe the consumer should be aware.. I came in on a scheduled appointment and was told that I would not receive service that day because I did not have a copy of me New Insurance card (although I did have the member id numbers)... I can understand being careful especially with new patients, because getting paid for services rendered is important for the Doctor....However, I had been a patient of Dr Wolfsons for more than 20 years! I now assume that there is no interest in the patients' well being, because of the refusal of service for a potentially severe condition. By the way; I left a message for the Dr. to call back and discuss and never got a call.

I trust Dr Wolfson. He's been my Dr for at least 10 years. I can talk to him about all my medical problems with easy and never feel like I'm being rushed or pushed out. I highly recommend him.

Have see Dr Bud Wolfson for a decade. He is caring, compassionate, efficient, expert.

The best doctor in my 50 years of being.

Family doctor for years. He is very ethical and professional yet friendly and caring. We trust his medical opinion to be accurate. He is cautious in his treatment plan and not fast to over prescribe. Sometimes we have to wait because he does 'work in' his patients that need to be seen. However, many times we have been that 'work in' that could not wait another day or so for an appointment. Love this Doctor, wish everyone were blessed with a physician this trustworty and caring.

I've been seeing Dr. Wolfson as my primary for about 10 years. He is a great doctor and a nice guy.

This is the only doctor I've ever know that will call me at home and check up on serious medical issues. He is very accurate and thorough. I just wish we had more doctors like him because he is so popular, it can be hard to get an appointment with him so the staff can direct you to his PAs and they are the worst. His staff can either be the best of the best or the worst of the worst depending on who you get. You can hang up on his staff following through on referrals. But, he, Dr. W is the best doc in Jacksonville!
