My experience with this individual was extremely negative. I felt dismissed and unheard when I came to him seeking help because I was experiencing abuse, rather than seeking an autism evaluation. Despite that, he raised autism as a possible diagnosis for the first time in my life and incorporated statements made by people I identified as my abusers into his assessment. I found this deeply concerning and inappropriate. I also felt that he repeatedly dismissed my concerns, projected assumptions onto me, and responded in ways that made me question my own perception of events. His communication came across to me as performatively empathetic rather than genuinely attentive to what I was saying. Another incident I witnessed was particularly troubling: an individual who appeared to be there for mental-health support reportedly asked for a blanket and was repeatedly ignored. I found the situation disturbing and believe concerns about how people in vulnerable circumstances are treated should… be taken seriously. Overall, my experience left me with serious concerns about his professionalism, judgment, and approach to people seeking support. If he is looking for someone who is mentally ill, perhaps he should start by looking at himself. I would personally not recommend him based on my experience.
