Dr. Burt R Blackstone, DO

Back in 2005, my 13-year-old son was hit by a van and taken to St. Mary's Medical Center. Dr. Blackstone was his doctor in trauma. His calm composure and great bedside manner were very helpful. Dr. Blackstone held off surgery and waited to see if my son's body would heal on its own. After 7 days in the hospital, 4 days in the ICU, my son walked out of the hospital all healed without surgery. Then in 2016, my 27-year-old son was in a horrific car accident. Not wearing his seatbelt, he went through the windshield, he was also taken to St. Mary's. Again, Dr. Blackstone's calm manner and honesty were just what we needed. He answered all of our questions and helped calm our fears. He even came in to check on my son on his days off. I'm happy to say my son has fully recovered. Thanks to Dr. Blackstone both of my boys are healthy young men.

2009 Dr. Blackstone was my trauma surgeon at St. Mary Medical Center. He was reassuring while I was in the trauma center.Thankfully I needed no surgery however every step of the way he and his physician assistants were on the money with their treatment while I was in ICU. They were also caring and with me every step of the way. They even checked in on me when I was in rehab at St. Mary even though he was no longer my direct physician.

THIS DOCTOR WAS READY TO REMOVE THE COLON FROM A 85 OLD WOMAN. WHEN ASKED QUESTIONS HE BECAME COCKY, GIVING ME THE IMPRESSION HE IS GOD. LUCKY FOR ME, I RECEIVED THE OPINION OF ANOTHER DOCTOR, THE 2nd DOCTOR DIDN"T WANT TO PUT MY MOTHER THRU THE SURGERY, TURNED OUT MY MOTHER GOT BETTER AND LIVED TILL SHE WAS 92 YEARS OLD.I BELEIVE BLACKSTONE WAS ONLY OUT FOR MONEY AND NOT LOOKING OUT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE PATIENT. I WOULD NOT TRUST HIM OR HIS OPINION AT ALL.
