Dr. Burt W Gelberg, MD

I initially liked Dr. Gelberg's bedside manner. However after the first visit he was sullen and somewhat impatient. It became evident that this was no longer his passion ...maybe this is a part time endeavor. His office staff was abrupt, impatient and unpleasant. If you want to feel respected and treated professionally, do not go to this Dr.'s office.

The doctor is very nice and is comparable to most other doctors. He explains everything to you and answers all of your questions. The major problem is with his staff. The women in his office are impatient and not accommodating at all. They raise their vioces when you ask them questions they perceive as inconvenient to them. When we called to make a followup appointment they refused to talk to us and hung up on us after stating that we owed them a copy fro the previous appointment. Worst doctors office I have ever been too.

His staff is EXTREMELY rude, short and snotty, esp. the girl who wears what looks like a rag for a top. I would NEVER, EVER return to this office. Never knew of such a group of nasty/rude people. No wonder they could take a new patient in 5 minutes after a phone call. The few times I was there, there were no other patients or just one, lol. No surprise! The doctor does not give results and never follows up with blood tests results unless you make another appt, even if you have a serious problem. He also will NOT handle more than a couple things as he wants to bilk the insurance company for more money with another visit. He also does NOT give you the prescriptions you request and gives you wrong ones. Most unprofessional office I ever knew and most horrid experience I ever endured with a doctor's visit.
