Dr. Burton Victor Largura, MD

Dr. Burton Largura was raised in Valparaiso, IN.  He grew up in an Italian-American family, and he is the oldest of four children.  His father is an orthodontist still practicing in northern Indiana, and his dad, Aldo, fueled the first fires of his interest in dentistry.  Burt attended Wabash College, majoring in History, with a minor in Roman and Greek classics. Later he obtained his dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry where he met his wife Heather, also a dentist.  He received a scholarship from the United States Air Force, and upon graduation became a Captain of the USAF.  During his first year of service, he obtained an additional year of training by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Belleville, IL at Scott Air Force Base.  His remaining years in the Air Force were spent serving as a general dentist at RAF Lakenheath in England.  He, his wife, and daughter enjoyed the travel opportunities …this assignment offered, seeing many of the highlights of Rick Steve's Europe.  Both assignments provided him with opportunites to practice periodontics under the mentorship of specialists.  During these years, he found his passion for periodontics, and upon completion of his service, he returned to Indiana to further his training at Indiana University School of Dentistry obtaining a Masters Degree in Periodontics.
He currently resides in Carmel, IN and practices periodontics in Noblesville, IN and Valparaiso, IN.  He is the father of two children, Mirabella and Joseph.  During his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, bicycling, and spending time with his family.
