Dr. Burton J Wisotsky, MD

Dr. Wisotsky took away my natural lens during the retinal detachment surgery, but he lied to me that I developed an acute cataract after the surgery. I didn't find out until I saw other doctors. The new doctors told me that my crystalline lens was taken away, and therefore I didn't have a cataract. They wrote "Aphakia" (absence of lens) in my medical records. And the ultrasound images also showed no lens present in my injured eye. Omni eye services even tried to charge me $1600 for laser removal of the cloudy lens, saying laser is not covered by the insurance. But in fact, my lens was already removed by Dr. Wisotsky. When I mentioned about seeing other cataract surgeons, Dr. Wisotsky discouraged me from seeing them, and said ONLY his colleague Dr. Grayson could do my surgery. Ironically, I never met Dr. Grayson during my entire time at Omni. But my "cataract" surgery date was scheduled. Thank God I got a second opinion before that. Dr. Wisotsky fudged my medical records to fit his own… version of stories, and to cover up his wrongdoings. The worst physician and eye services (Omni) I have ever seen in my life!

I asked him if there was any promising research on MDR. He said he was not a research doctor, but MDR is a disease of old age, so it would be cured when a cure for old age is discovered. My wish for Burton is that he also develops something incurable and his doctor tells him the same.

Have been disappointed with every other doctor. Without a doubt, best in his field.

I woke up one morning experiencing Double Vision. My world changed. I couldn't drive. I went to NYC's top doctors. I had cat scans, mri's, went to ent's and ophthalmologists .. None of the doctors I saw had a clue. My sister has one good eye and in the past, Dr. Wisotsky at Omni Eye Specialists did an operation on her for a detached retina, saving her vision. She recommended Dr. Wisotsky. He was extremely professional. He did a few tests and within minutes diagnosed my condition as 4th nerve palsy. Dr Witosky was extremely caring, professional and explained possible next steps. I'm glad I came here. I finally had an answer.

This Doctor may be a Yale graduate but one thing he missed was a course on Bedside Manner.

No stars!! Wait time is 2-3 1/2 HOURS!! Staff is ok but Dr Wisostky borders on rude. Yes he is competent But really for two years every visit takes hours to review retina plus or minus an avastin injection-

Saw Dr.witsotsky for 4yrs. For diabetic retinopathy as referred by Costco dr.He did needless surgeries on both eyes.Numerous laser Treatments. he caused extreme cataracts&numerous other problems.Wised up&stopped going to see Dr. Witsotsky,as each time I saw him he was more rude&made things a lot worse.If my new dr. Can't fix the damage caused by Witsotsky,I will lose my eyesight completely!very Unsatisfied former patient!

Misdiagnosed for ANTERIOR ISCHEMIC OPTIC NEUROPATHY . Actual cause OPTIC NEURITIS . Horrible doctor !
