Dr. Byron Law Yone, MD

I came to him with poorly treated BPD, a condition I had suffered with for decades. He was able to help me return to a condition allowing me not just to survive in a stressful world but to thrive. I have been his patient for more than 6 years. He is outstanding. As for those who give him low marks: I see that most of them deal with addictions. Enough said. You have comments by angry addicts or their angry enablers.

I have seen several psychiatrists concerning PTSD and Dr Law-Yone gave me the most comprehensive feedback of them all; he was very easy to talk to.

Excellent doctor, very understanding, listens to what your issues are. Highly recommend, does not take insurance presently, but well with seeing him.

Dr. Law-Yone is a very caring doctor who is always available if I need help. He spends all the time I need during visits. He is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of addiction disorders.

Dr. Lawyone really helped me through a very rough point in my life, as i was addicted to pain killers for 6 years. Many people do not approve of suboxone, however, if you have not been through the whole addiction lifestyle, you would never understand. After 8 months of being a patient of Dr. Lawyone, i can sincerly say he does care, and wants me to succeed. I definelty recommend this doctor if you are having trouble with pain killers. He saved my life!!

this doctor cares more about money than the welfare of his patients. he is to ready to prescibe medicines that may or may not help and in my case made symptoms worse. he yanked me off everything and went through withdrawl again. i would not recommend this doctor

What kind of addiction medicine specialist would give a recovering addict who one of his drugs of choice was stimulants. He diagnoses the daughter as ADD then the 55yo addict as ADD and rather than starting on a nonstimulant jumps straight to Adderall XR. He's having all of the negative side effects. The paranoia, aggression and the rage. He's making it a cakewalk for an addict to get his fix. Why would you put someone who was clean on this. He has ruined our family but the addict is happy. Run the other way

I agree with another reviewer's comment that this Dr. is more concerned about his pay than his patient's welfare. I also felt he was impatient and he lost his temper and raised his voice at me on the phone a couple of times. I did not like that at all.

I am not a patient of this doctor's, so take what I say with a grain of salt. However, someone very close to me is his patient and Dr Law-Yone has been very helpful to him. He is comfortable with this doctor and confident with his care.The reason I make this comment is that I think it is important for people to remember that not every therapist is the best therapist for them. Some Doctors and Patients relate differently, so if you find a doctor that does not fit your needs, keep looking and don't be discouraged.

He said I was unloveable. He does not return phone calls. Cares more about getting paid than he does about his patient's welfare.
