I went to the doctor because I gained about twenty pounds out of nowhere. I hadn’t changed anything to cause this sudden weight change so I knew something was wrong. I also had other issues that pointed to my thyroid which I felt was causing the weight gain. This doctor was incredibly rude. Told me to stop eating McDonald’s and cut out soda. Had he taken time to ask me questions he would know that I don’t eat McDonald’s nor do I drink soda. He prescribed me two pills both he called diet pills. One is a seizure medication that will in fact knock out my birth control (pharmacist luckily called me when the dr sent these in) and the other makes your heart race. I have anxiety, and refrain from caffeine because I do not like feeling my heart race. It makes me feel like I’m having a panic attack. He did not care to listen to me. He just wanted to prescribe medications. I have yet to take the medications. And I refuse to go back to him. He was extremely condescending. Absolutely no bed side… manner. After I started crying he just said no no none of that. These pills will help. Thanks for nothing.

He is very competent and thorough. Also is very friendly and a good sense of humor. Zeros in on your needs quickly.

I have been a patient of Dr Yu for many years now. Everything that has been said regarding his 2 awards are well deserving. If it wasn't for Dr Yu I would not be alive today. He took care of me after a stomach surgery was botched by the Surgeon, Dr Yu took over and re-admitted me back to the hospital and treated me for the 2nd infection (the 1st I contracted was MRSA) due to not being kept clean in the hospital, my surgeon released me to work after I told him I was oozing fluid and still had pain in my left lower quadrant, I had the good sense to make an appointment with Dr Yu directly after my 1st nights work was done, he inspected my would area and said I now had cellulitis in my left lower quadrant and needed to be re-admitted immediately to the hospital, get pick lined and put on Rocefin antibiotic. He called the hospital from his office and arranged to get me into the hospital immediately, where the radiologist put a new pik line in and a room was waiting for me. Dr Yu said he had… to treat me quickly because I was so run down he did not want me to catch anything more in the hospital. Dr Yu kept me in hospital 3 days in a solo room (MRSA Patients) immune system is low and I would catch something easily, After Dr Yu released me I had to go after work for 7 days at 9am to the outpatient lab to get my injection of Rocefin for 30 days, Dr Yu saved my life and I am eternally grateful to him for life. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Yu for your Primary Dr, he is an internist with 2 awards this year for near perfect scores, his kindness and bedside manor and honor. Dr Yu has 7 specialities: Sigmoidoscopy. Had a couple visits with Dr Yu. I personally found him to be very rude, cold, and poor bedside manner. In the process of looking for another primary care Dr. Cut me back a lot on my depression and anxiety medicine for no reason whatsoever. I have been on these meds for years and any other Dr I've seen had no problems. Now I have to go see a psychologist for my anxiety meds when it's on record I've been in counseling. I just lost my mother less then a month ago yes I'm still grieving and I need to see another dr to deal with it? No thank you I'll handle it in my own time.

His staff is courteous and prompt. The wait was short. The Doctor is very through. He takes time with his appointments to understand you fully. He practices accupuntuire competently too!

I haven't had anything but great experiences at this office dr. Yu takes the time to really talk with you and find out what's going on. I never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to see him. I always get an appointment quick when needed. There aren't Many doctors out there that take the time out to get to know you like he does.
