Dr. Caitlin Fiss Goldsmith truly has changed my life. I have been a patient of Dr. Goldsmith since 2015 and randomly decided to google her and was SHOCKED...to say the least...that there were negative reviews. Typically I do not write positive reviews, and reading this page just made me realize how I need to change, because especially in a world that we live in today - so much negative is being spread and not enough positive. If anyone has any questions regarding my experience, or Dr. Goldsmith, please respond back to this and I personally would love to provide more detail as to why she needs to be your gyno. I in no way am related to her, sponsored, etc...I genuinely just lover her so much and just like it is easier to frown than smile, it appears it is easier to write a negative review than positive. I was in a horrible relationship that lead me to a STD scare and I was recommended to see Dr. Goldsmith. I was a hot mess, absolute disaster when I went into her office and she… immediately greeted me in reception, took me back to her office, and talk to me prior to her examining me. I have NEVER had a doctor do this before. She was a shoulder I could cry on and was by far the most gentle and loving doctor - not even just gyno - that I have ever visited. Thankfully, I was healthy, but that did not stop me - and my anxiety - from seeing her practically once every three weeks just to check in...for six months. Dr. Goldsmith would almost immediately call me back when I would leave a VM with her office and she ALWAYS took the time with me. Fast forward a few months, I was having a girls night and ended up getting into a heated conversation about gynos in NYC...my friend and I both were arguing that we had the best gyno...come to find out - we both see Dr. Goldsmith. Fast forward four years and I genuinely look forward to seeing Dr. Goldsmith during my yearly appointments, and wish I could see her even more often. A few years ago we decided I would have the IUD implanted and I was terrified to say the least and she talked me through every step, prepared me for what was to come, and I have never felt more safe - especially being in such a vulnerable position. Dr. Goldsmith is an angel of a human being and deeply cares about every single one of her patients.

She had no patience rushed through the exam tore the inside of my labia. I had to ask for a pad after the exam from all the bleeding. Her reponse: "oh its time for your menstrual". Mind you I did not have my menstrual when I walked into her office. Ran out of the room before I could even sit up on the table. What a terrible experience and a poor doctor.

She saved my life she is an amazing doctor. The best in NYC. She is thorough and careful and does not miss a beat. She is an amazing surgeon and when there is a big complication you need an amazing surgeon with a good hand. She is the best obgyn in Manhattan.

I'm surprised see these negative reviews of Dr. Fiss. She has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen. A lot of doctors don't even seem to get the concept of bedside manner so she really stands out in my experience. I get the sense really cares...always takes time to speak you in her office after exams and calls you about the results of tests. I don't completely dread going to the gynecologist so I would say that is a major success on her part. In addition she is very knowledgeable and seems to keep up with the times better than other doctors. Recently i went to her for hair loss that i thought might be hormonal and she took me seriously (my other doctor just said it is a phase that will just stop....but it hasn't) and found that my hormones were out of whack and prescribed something to fix it. Granted I go to her for regular gyn stuff, not ob stuff, so I can't speak to any of that.

Delivered all 3 of my babies. Excellent, caring and thorough. Would highly recommend.

IT has been several months after being seen by Dr goldsmith and I;m still traumatized from the abusive, extremely rough exam. I found her poorly trained, uncaring and insensitive. Don;t know how she got a patients choice award on this site - unless she gave it to herself.
