Dr. Calin Andi Savu, MD

Have chronic disabling back pain for years. After 2 sessions of RADIOFREQUENCY ablations by Dr Savu had complete relief for past 2 yrs. very competent and personable. Will highly recommend

I was referred to this place by the VA for pain management. I learned quickly based off of my interactions with the staff trying to get schedule that this is not a place where I want to receive my treatment. Front office staff were extremely rude, disorganized, and generally just got the vibe that they hate their jobs or dealing with customers. I changed providers before seeing Dr. Savu. Veteran's if you have a choice of who to see do not go here. There are better options in this community.

This is a man that needs his ego feed into by his staff and patients .There is no reasoning with him and he wants to inject himself into your medical care without knowing why your there or your medical history .He is intrusive and demanding .The goal to him is for you to do as he says no disagreeing allowed .Dont tell him anything you dont want him to have a demanding opinion on he will beat it into the ground until he cant any longer .keep it simple when you talk to him.He places himself into your business were he doesn't belong .please get a second opinion if you feel uneasy with with the demands he places on you to do exactly as he tells you like his way is the only way .The decision you make for your well being isn't his business at all and if you feel scared by his advice that should tell you to get another opinion before you do as he says to do .Its normal and appropriate to want to be safe with your care he is only a pain doctor not surgeon ...The treatments he offers are to… help relieve pain not replace the need for surgery .He would have you believe a shot to decrease inflammation or pain is better then surgery even if other surgeons have told you that you need surgery prior to his clinic ..He uses guilt , intimidation and nonsense to try to talk you out of surgery and it's not ok to do nor professional.its like talking to a wall when you try and he won't hear you he has already decided you dont need surgery never looking at your mri, xrays and medical history .Dont ever listen to any doctor that has his ego wrapped around some back office win or power trip he's on .trust yourself first and foremost .

This doctor has a arrogance beyond reasonoing.He will not hear you and doesn't care what you think .He has his staff afraid to disagree with him and he runs the show.This Doctor will not listen to you and not read your past medical history .He will however push his ideas on your care unto you not caring if you wanted the advice, tone and treatment to begin with .Dr. Savu lies to his patients example "" you hit my sciatia" he replies " I had to in order to know were to place the needle or to get the spot .The truth is no he doesn't have to it's a mistake of his hence the arrogance .This man will hurt someone if he hasn't already being voiceturous and dominate .patients need to trust their providers not do as they bark out demands from a person that doesn't know your history prior to going to him .I've made sure to leave there think long and hard about what he has tried to push onto me and then make my decision accordingly.Be careful dont just jump when he speaks and get a second… opinion if your able . You need to be your own advocate in your care he and his staff are doing Dr. Savu agenda always .Dont be surprised if you dont do as he says or disagree your labeled hostile when you have every right to disagree and communicate your concerns with his advice or care .

I had an appointment, went in and had a great experience. They were very nice, listened to what I had to say and planned out the best course of action. Very happy and will be going to see Dr. Savu for a long time.

If you ever go to this doctor, make sure you see the doctor. Because of a medial branch block that did not work, the nurse practitioner told me I was being hostile when all I did was answer her questions. Then they accused me of using fake urine because they left me in the room too long and it wouldn't register a temp on the cup. I am a nurse. I have never treated another medical professional or anyone else with hostility. I may have pain, but I also have pride and I will not be treated that way.

I like Dr. Savu and he has helped me to manage my pain. Love all the staff but more communications skills are needed. If they tell you that you need to call to reschedule, they need to add the info that if you don't do it that day you will be counted as a no call, no show. When they tell you that they can't refill your prescription without an office visit and they make you an app. for the next morning, it would be extremely helpful if they would also add that you are going to have your procedure done that morning as well, instead I show up unprepared, without a driver, completely clueless to what is going on! Just saying, need to be more informative!!!!

Dr. Savu has been helping me for about 5 months or so and through his encouragement I got a second opinion and now on my way to recovery. Dr. Savu is a very caring and kind physician. For me he has really tried to find a solution to my problem, not just putting a band-aid over it or pushing pain meds but wanting to really help me. I would recommend him to anyone who has needs to get help with their pain management. I can't adequately express my appreciation for all that he has done.

He has been a big help getting my back pain under control, I would recommend him to anyone who needs a pain specialist!

I have had pain from degenerative disc disease for 14 years. Dr. Savu has treated me for the past seven years. I have had amazing results from his treatments on my back and neck. I have had marked improvement of my pain and have been able to continue my core exercises which enables me to work and do many of the activities that I enjoy. I am a physician and recommend him to many of my patients.
