Dr. Calin Stoicov, MD

Being 50 years old and in need of my first colonoscopy, I didn’t know what to think. I got myself so worried and worked up about the procedure, that I almost canceled the appointment that I had earlier this morning. This past Monday, I spoke with Sue (one of the nurses there) - (after asking me a few questions) she told me to stay OFF the Internet and stop googling “Colonoscopy.” I’m glad I did, because she probably saved my life. Thanks, Sue - you’re the Best! :-) I was awake and fully aware of everything that was going on, during the procedure. I didn’t feel a thing and it was a breeze. Dr. Calin Stoicov may just be the best in Maine - he was very caring and put me right at ease. It was over before I knew it. There were no polyps discovered or biopsy done - I got myself all anxious and crazy for nothing. Ten years from now, when I have to go back, I want Dr. Stoicov to perform the procedure - I very highly recommend him and his All-Star team of nurses. They were all obviously very… skilled, highly trained and knew exactly what they were doing. If you’re anything like me and like to Google stuff - STOP it and cut the crap, right now. Get off your computer and go see Dr. Stoicov; going to see him was, for me, a humongous relief. And it was completely painless - nothing to it, actually. I now am a strong believer in regular, routine cancer screening. I am even looking forward to doing it again in ten years. Don’t wait - just do it and get it done. Trust me, you are in excellent hands with Dr. Stoicov! :-)

Dr Stoiciv listens and asks his patient questions. He is attentive and makes a point to call you himself at home if you need him to. I am fortunate to have him as my doctor in this small community.

He is dismissive to your issues. Doesn't listen and was flat out wrong. Another dr came into exam room and thankfully corrected all his incorrect statements and diagnoses - including the medication he prescribed in correctly! YIKES
