Dismissive If Dr. Root had counseled me about my post-operative cataract surgery care as stated in my Patient Portal, I believe my recovery would have been more successful. Either Dr. Root was mistakenly writing about another patient, or she was completely fictionalizing my visit with her. Even the date of my cataract surgery was incorrect. It gives me concern that my record shows very inaccurate information. My visits with her were very brief and my concerns were never addressed. She was dismissive about any concerns that I voiced and was in a hurry to finish with me. I was basically told to wait and see what happens with no advice for relief of my symptoms other than OTC moisturizing drops. The Patient Portal indicates that she counseled me extensively about measures that would help with my recovery. Be aware that this is the person you see after cataract surgery not the doctor who performed the surgery.
